I was dissatisfied with the level of service I received from Dr. Lyman over the period of 6 months. I was referred by my PCP and immediately made an appointment. In the first visit, he asked numerous questions and became frustrated that I did not have my previous records from another doctor from 2015. He then because more agitated that I had moved cities and also did not have records from that physician in 2019. I told him I thought it was best to establish care in Lake Charles and have the records transferred. He left the room to have the PA gather info and came back asking why I lied to him about seeing a Rheumatologist in 2019. I explained that was the referral I received and he said, “A simple Google search would have told you she was not. Did you not investigate her?” Honestly, no and he made feel stupid for not doing so. I brushed it off as I REALLY needed help figuring out why I was barely able to walk in my early 40s.

Fast forward, five blood draws later, every appointment he told me that my bloodwork was ok but he wanted to run more tests. I will say he explained at least 10 autoimmune diseases that it could be so I was trying to be patient but I was getting pretty freaked out by his awkwardness. In fact, I had a nightmare due to the resemblance of Jeffrey Dahmer. My husband suggested I move on and I prepared for my appointment to really explain the process for the last time and demand a plan of care or I was leaving. I received a call before I was leaving that they needed to cancel my appointment. No warning or anything. Just closing. In looking over reviews this is not the first time this has happened so I’m moving on. Hopefully, Oschner can retrieve the bloodwork for my new doctor.

He was so rude and full of himself, he did not care about what I told him my body does, he thought he knew my body better than I did, the nurse was great to bad she was not the doctor.

I left 1 star bc it's the lowest I could leave. This doctor is arrogant, unclean and scattered. He talked to me like I was an idiot and his receptionist and he laughed at me, when they thought I couldn't hear. Worse experience of my life!

Dr. Lyman's staff was very nice and professional. They do not over book so the wait time is short.. He doesn't take alot of time in the room but gets straight to the point and does what is needed to fix the problem!

On first entry, his office personnel was not friendly, The wait was not long due to no other patients being there. Before entering the room, I heard him cuss and say "wish me luck". He went straight into asking me if I had this certain disorder, and starting making accusations due to medications I was showing. He never asked me detail questions of my problems. Answered some of his own questions. Was all over the place. I found him unprofessional and lacking in knowledge and professional personality. I will never see him again.
