Dr Rick and I spent many hours together over the last few years. At the end of our relationship I felt he was looking down on me. He was biased and admitted it. When I tried to communicate my concerns about this to him he rebuffed me, and refused to acknowledge the pain he brought to the situation. He had no empathy for the troubles I presented to him. I left his care feeling worse than I did when I started.

I have seen many other psychologist and Dr. Blackford was the only Dr. that I saw progress with. I recommend him to everyone in need. He helped me change my depressed life! I lived with depression for over ten years and since seeing Dr. Blackford, because of the tools that he taught me, I have been depression free for going on three years.

Dr. Blackford has a great sense of humor. He also can be serious when there is a need to be. I don't like how he begins and ends his session. A bit impersonal with his greeting. When you see him outside of his office he is more friendly and funny. Otherwise, as a psychologist he is great at what he does. He puts things into prospective and teaches you along your journey to freedom if the mind. He is an excellent teacher.
