She is fantastic! I had always had trouble feeling truly comfortable with someone to help me, but she made me feel comfortable from the start. She does really care about you, and will do all she can to help you, and teach you how to help yourself. I cannot believe how lucky I was to have her as my Psychologist. There are things I have had affect me for a long time, since I could not deal with it or find someone who could be trusted and make me feel okay to talk about, and I know that I can with her. I thought I had known pretty much most methods or advice from therapy, in and out of hospital over 30 times, but she has a way of working to get to know you, and what problems you may have so she can find the method that will help you best. Dr. Smithyman deserves a standing ovation. She is a great listener and talker, always attentive and receptive. She is truly passionate about her job and obviously cares for her patients. I suffered from depression and social anxiety, and she gave me the tools to counter my negativity and fears. Changed my life.

Is really easy to talk with and if you stick with her and don't think that after only two visits you will have a diagnosis then she is the real deal. How can they get to know who you are. Just like you she has to get to know you. She will give you the tools to help you. Like dating or meeting knew friends it takes you the patient to get to know the other person so how can one judge someone simply by seeing them once or twice.
