Ignored all that I said and showed him. Did nothing. He brought in 5 students without asking me first. Room was 8'X8'. Nurse, Dr., 5 students and me, all in this tiny room. Only addressed students. Never gave proper examination. Gave ANOTHER xray, one had just been done. Did not even try to find out what was wrong. Had to find a new podiatrist, who found torn tendon and ligament-badly torn. He could see it just be looking at the position of my foot. New guy ordered the MRI, found all of the tear. 9 months later, I am finally getting the surgery I needed back in early 2023. Moritz, in my opinion and from experience, is incompetent. Sent me to buy shoes costing over $100.00 at regular sneaker store, not medical supply. "You'll get a discount by going to Achilles Running" store. Run, don't walk, from this guy.

He is one ignorant person I would not recommend him for any surgery what so ever he is rude all the time then he wants to cus at you all the time he takes you rights away and tell you what u are going to do I recommend a different dr then him I am tired of him thinking I don’t have rights on what happens with my body remember the Patient is always right

I wouldn't take my dog to this guy. I went to see him for a for a surgical follow up visit at Hamot hospital. While there with my young grandson. While there I witnessed him grab and touch a female nurse in the most inappropriate of places. When I confronted him about what I witnessed he just laughed and became very angry

Spent more time with student resident then Dr...Dr. polite but did not do the exam, so unable to comment on his knowledge, it is only a middle of the road guess.

Dr Maritz did not take my post surgery incision concerns seriously, went back 2 weeks later had obvious infection, dr maritz was not there so i had to suffer 10 days without pain medication for a very painful foot operation. Went back in 10 days instead of 14 days later only because my wife threw a fit about treatment and medication issues. When Dr. Maritz finally saw my foot he said its now time to get serious. He also told me on scale of 1-10 (10 being amputation) i am at a 8. This could have all been prevented!!! He doesnt take my pain seriously and every question. Or concern I have I am made felt like I was the dumb one for asking. Find a different Dr.!!!!!
