Dr Lacey is wonderful! He saved my baby’s life. I loved the way he handled the situation when things got a bit dire, and I found his bedside manner to be lovely. He checked on us regularly after the birth in our hospital room, and rest assured he will be the one we go to for subsequent pregnancies. Sometimes during appointments he could seem a bit rushed (he’s a busy guy), but he always answered any questions and concerns I had, and we found him funny and easy to talk to about things. I loved all the nurses in there too, they’re lovely ladies

Saw dr. Lacey because he is highly recommended. I am currently pregnant and am wanting a vbac. There is no medical reason for me not to have one. He said that there was no guarantees for a healthy pregnancy or baby. He couldn't even assure me that he would do everything in his power in helping me to achieve a vbac. He did a vaginal ultrasound and didnt even talk me through it. He had me hop onto the table and he just did the exam. He didnt even tell me he was doing a pap. After the exam was done, he left. I went to the front desk and the lady just schedule all my appointments and rushed me out the door. I was clearly upset but no one said anything. I cried all the way home. It was the worst. I was just a number. Some brood mare they were pushing through the system.

I saw dr lacy from 1995 until after a hysterectomy in 2005. He got me through several miscarriages followed by my hyst. He was always, kind yet very appropriate. He was always concerned about my health, and took was knowledgeable.

I used Dr. Lacey with both my pregnancies and issues I had between pregnancies. I appreciated his honesty and frankness. I knew there was no reason to be worried if Dr. Lacey wasn't. I found that very calming. I could be completely honest about my worries and concerns and he was honest with me as to if I should be worried about it or not. I never felt need to second guess or read into what he said. That's very important to me as a patient. Had I not moved out of the area, I would still see him. Actually I've considered many times if I could make the 2 hour one way drives work to continue to see Dr. Lacey as my OBGYN.

He made my first pregnancy experience a living nightmare. He is rude and demeaning. I had severe morning sickness and nausea and the office didn't support me at all. My labor left me nearly paralyzed and he wouldn't acknowledge it and went so far to call my physical therapist to see she was wasting my time. Luckily I found a new OB before the damage was permanent!

Was my first GYN and then 6 years later, he delivered my oldest son and was supposed to deliver my daughter, but she decided not to make the trip to Joplin and was born 17 min. after reaching the nearest hospital. Dr. Lacey was always so professional, funny, knowledgeable, and was the best OB/GYN I have ever had!

He is understanding, answers every question, is excellent in the delivery room. I wouldn't want anyone else delivering my babies and to be with every step of the way

Just to make everyone aware you should look into who your doctor is. This particuliar dr has had his license suspended for sexual misconduct with patients. Just do your homework. Also the receptionist is very rude and condisending and office manager is mot much better

I went to Dr lacey for my first baby. The staff was great but he was very rude. He estamated me having a "bigger" baby and told me how it was my fault for my baby being fat. Never asked if we had any questions, always spoke too fast so it was hard to understand him. I left my appointment for my 34 weeks in tears. I was unable to reserve good ultrasound pictures because they didn't want to take an extra few minutes to get him to move around.
Definitely NOT coming back to Dr. Lacey for my future children.
