i understand the feelings a few people have mentioned, i kind of get that condesending feeling too, but i also understand. he's a lot older than i am, and probably knows qite a bit more. so i think that some people just take the fact that he is confident, and knows more about it then they do as being condecending. i know a doctor is supposed to have good bedside manner, but his is not really bad by any means. so i can live with the small character differances we have. now as far as punctuality... i won't lie i have set for over an hour and a half waiting before, and usually don't get in within 45 min. for any appointment with him, and my appointments get rescheduled all the time. i only see him once a year now so it's not all that bad to have to deal with it, now if i had to go in all the time it would get real old. overall he must be doing pretty good since we are all still going to him!!!

Dr. Frederick is very knowledgeable about epilepsy, sometimes he comes off a little condescending, but most of the time he is very helpful and patient with our questions. He works many, many hours and still is always there when we need him. My daughter is 26, has had epilepsy for almost a year now, we are still working on getting her meds straight to control the seizures. I am very happy with him as a doctor.

WOW! I don't think the person who left the other post saw the same doctor my husband did! He is wonderful! Very helpful, always on time, answers all questions, and gives suggestions on how my husband can live better with his seizures. He was reccommended to us and I'm glad we went to him! Not to mention Valerie, his nurse, is WONDERFUL! She always calls back when I need to talk to her! Love Dr. Frederick and his staff!

I have never felt more dropped-in-the-sea than when he gave me an epilepsy diagnosis. No information was given about a disease I knew nothing about. Not until my THIRD visit was support groups or "Living with your epilepsy" advice even given. I had to pump him for any suggestions on lifestyle changes, etc. His callous, condescending attitude was more than annoying. Dr. Frederick is a poor example of the medical profession, and would do the world a favor by retiring early. My injustice is to be locked into his care until that time because of HMO guidelines.
