Mercy Hospital

Went to a Mercy Go facility which is an urgent care facility, Paid the co-pay upon arrival and saw the doctor, They were unable to help, Doctor had no idea what was the cause of the issue. (diagnosed later at a specialist) Was sent on my way with three prescriptions of their best guess. Now the bill comes for $160, should have been $0. My insurance should have covered the balance, however the submittal to the insurance was coded as a hospital ER visit at a higher rate. I am now 3 calls into resolving this speaking to customer service out of country each time. (you can't reach the hospital locally) and each time I am told " it will be resolved". Then another bill comes, lather rinse repeat.

My dad received care at Mercy Springfield on many occasions. All but one were good experiences. Unfortunately, his last visit to Mercy Springfield was not one he got to come home from as he passed away due, in part, to the negligent care he received there. He presented to the ER with a complaint of vomiting and dehydration. He was, at some point, "triaged" but ultimately sat in the ER for 13 HOURS as his kidneys began to shut down. Nevermind the fact that Mercy had ALL his medical records to outline his complex medical status and many recent visits there. He and my mom sat, cold and miserable and suffering, in the lobby of the ER for 13 hours before he was finally admitted. Nursing staff placed a catheter and then failed to notice that there was no urine output for 24 hours. This observation was brought to them by my sister, who is not medically trained. They then suspected his catheter was not appropriately placed so they tried to catheterize him again - SEVERAL excruciatingly painful attempts were made before the urologist was notified. He decided, however, to wait until the next day to bother coming in to see the patient. My dad passed away five days after arriving at Mercy. No one else should experience this type of negligent care. Avoid Mercy Springfield at all costs!

ER time is crazy. I understand lack of employees but really you can’t figure this out?? Staff move people in and out ER as needed.

They no longer care for patients health. They are more concerned with profit . Especially Mercy Endocrinology at Smith- Glynn in Springfield Missouri

Waited 8 hours never saw a doctor ,terrible ,,rude front desk

A physchiatrist refuses to see patient because they're crying? Evil. Evil place. Waited months for help, and this is how they help. Shameful. No wonder psychiatric patients want to commit suicide.

Mercy hospital is terrible!! At one time they provided care you could be proud of. ER wait times are close to 24 hours!! Call to make an appt and you will hold for over 40 minutes before you get to talk to someone. I will need to be near death before I go to that hospital.

I would have given it no stars if that were possible. The Drs don't care, they are on the Insurance Dole, the hospital is poorly run and the CEOs don't care either because where else will we go?

Wish I qualified for assisted suicide just so I wouldn’t have to wait for these doctors to kill me. Been waiting 9 months to see a doctor and 5 months for medicine. When I inquired they informed me that they would no longer provide any care whatsoever and fired me, basically.
