Dr. Vernon is a wonderful, caring physician. She has provided exemplary care for my family and me for 30 years. When I have had serious health problems, she has referred me to highly competent specialists. She encourages me to make better health choices but never makes me feel that she is judging the ones I make. I would highly recommend her to anyone, but particularly to older female patients because she is very tuned in to our needs and experience.

The worst, she doesn't spend any time with you and she acts like she is afraid to do an exam. Everything rotates around low carbs and diet-grant it can play a role to significant health problems, but is not the complete answer to everyones health. I wouldn't recommend her.

Went to her a few years ago when she filled in for my doctor. I have asthma and had gotten a bad lung infection. She gave me antibiotics but would not give me anything to help me breathe other than the albuteral I already had. I had to lay in bed for several days unable to get up and do anything till the antibiotics finally started to work. When my doctor returned I told him I would never come there again if he was not there. I got another doctor in town that I would use only when he was off or out of town.

Dr. Vernon specializes in diabetic issues. However, if you go to her for anything else, she will say you need to cut out all carbs, and go on a high protein diet. I did that, and it didn't get rid of any of my pain. I was not a diabetic, but she thinks everyone is destined to be one, and that all will be cured with the high protein diet. It did nothing for me. Plus, she has a rude attitude.

Fear this doctor enough to avoid her is my best opinion of her:she can wreck your ability to get well easy, or make you sick; she can then blame you or make heroic efforts to fix the problem and really not fix it; she can ruin your ability to see other doctors, who for reasons only she may know, believe her "sabotage".Sometimes times good folks have had hurtful,useless times with referrals she made w/ goal to cast the patient in a terrible light & then the doctor trashed the patient in his records, so now bad things are in two Dr. records, and that was the point:defensive docs working to cover each other because some dr. feels she's goofed up. WHo gets to pay for all this!Or is this doctor getting her cut by heroics in trying to fix problems she made in the first place?Or am I unable to read research on how my symptoms originated from her care and then she sabotaged my recovery?And she made out looking like a hero? And I was sick and couldn't get doctors to help? Sick a long time! RUN?
