Took for ever to get an appointment only to be rescheduled multiple times. No one ever answers the phone

My grandfather has been going to Dr. Goodson for over 20 years and has always loved him. Unfortunately his billing staff are impatient and rude. My grandfather received a bill from Dr. Goodson's office for $174.00 from 1998! Since my grandfather is older (89) I called to try to understand why he was just getting the bill in 2014 from a visit so long ago. The itemized statement they provided didn't explain where the bill came from they just kept insisting he owed the balance and couldn't make an apt until it was paid. He has always paid his copay and his insurance was the same all of those years. I have asked for a more clear statement showing why he owed that amount and have yet to receive the information requested. As I mentioned in the beginning Dr. Goodson himself is a smart, kind man but his staff are awful. My grandfather paid the bill (still do not know why) and will not EVER go back to this office. I find it sad that at 89 he will stop going to his long time eye doctor because of $174 bill his staff will not explain properly. Beware of your bills if you go to this office. They may surprise you 15 years later!

On every visit to this office, the staff seems rushed and very rude. I have never seen such poor customer service. The MD is always in a hurry and is also short and not very helpful with his answers. He only spends a few minutes with each patient, as seems like he must leave as quickly as possible. I find this approach very sad for the patients. I really think this is a poor customer service organization. In fact, I have been so displeased that I will not refer my friends or family to them and I will search for another provider. I can only hope this organization can improve their efforts, so that no more patients are left feeling the same way that I do.

Dr. Goodson is extremely professionally skillful, he is capable of carrying a high patient load and yet caring for each person without discrimination. I think you'd go a long way to find a better one. I'm thankful he cares for my eyes.

This doctor did not care about my problem and he did not want to help me. He offered no advice and did not answer my questions. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone. To see this doctor is a waste of time.

This doctor made me feel like I did not matter and he did not want to help me with my problem. He offered no advice nor would he answer my questions. I felt this visit as a waste of time!
