Biography

Margaret McVie Crittell, MD, FAAP, is a certified pediatrician (American Board of Pediatrics) at Pierremont Pediatrics. Located at WK Pierremont Medical Arts Building in Shreveport, Louisiana, the clinic is affiliated with Willis-Knighton Health System and serves young patients across Northwest Louisiana. A native of Shreveport, Dr. Crittell earned a degree in biochemistry at Knox College in Indiana before attending medical school at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Medicine. Dr. Crittell did an internship and was accepted to the Joint Pediatric Residency Training Program at University of Nebraska Medical Center. She then returned home to Shreveport-Bossier City to care for pediatric patients. Dr. Crittell is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP). Other memberships include American Medical Association and Northwest Louisiana Medical Society. She is past president of the Northwest Louisiana Pediatric Society. Dr. Crittell practices pediatric medicine because of her love for children. She and her husband have three children of their own. With her husband, Dr. Crittell enjoys training for triathlons and physical fitness is a priority of their family. In addition to their fitness journeys, they also enjoy traveling to visit their extended family across the U.S. Dr. Crittell personally enjoys baking fancy birthday cakes for her kids and knitting.
