Have been a patient of Dr. Shahrdar since 2011. He has preformed both a left and right hip replacement. Needless to say if I had not been extremely happy with the results and professional service of Dr. Shahrdar following the first surgery I would not have followed with a second. Dr. Shahrdar was always willing to answer any questions prior to surgery and following. He outlined what I would need to do as the patient following surgery and I followed his recommendations as best as possible. My recovery from both surgeries was short term and I was able to return to full activity within a reasonable time, in fact I actually returned to full activity sooner than recommended. I would rate him as the best in the State of Louisiana.

Most doctor visits take anywhere from 2 to 3 hours waiting time. We were in the office finished talking with Doctor

Dr Shahrdar replaced my hip in May 2016, my only regret was that I didn't have it done earlier. The afternoon of the surgery I was able to walk using a walker with no pain at all. I was released from the hospital the next day and used a walker for a few days then started using a cane but within two weeks I was very comfortable walking without aid. I experienced some mild pain and discomfort for the first few days but only had one day that my leg really hurt and that seemed to be the muscles realigning after having moved to compensate for my bad hip. I would recommend Dr Shahrdar to anyone. I could not be happy with my new hip, it has made a lot of difference.

If I had it to do over again, I would absolutely NOT do it. I know he is supposed to be one of the very best, but I have had intense pain every time I raise my leg. So much so that I cannot raise it high enough to get into a vehicle without help. I was better off taking pain medication prior to surgery.

Horrible care. Replaced my hip, then no longer accepted my insurance. Other doctors refuse to even acknowledge this less-than adequate excuse for a physician

I had Anterior Hip replacement on my Right Hip in 2007. I was walking the next day and off of a cane/walker within 3 weeks. Even after 6 years I have had no complications and very little wear. He uses the best materials available. I got my life back!! He and his staff are courteous and punctual. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes in the waiting room. Thank you Dr. Shahrdar.

Dr. Shahrdar did a Total Knee Replacement on my Left Knee November 2009 and was walking with a walker the next day. Nine months later August 2010 he did Total Knee Replacement on my Right Knee. Both surgerys went really well and now have no pain in either of my knees. I would highly recommend him to anyone. I believe he is one of the best of the best Orthopedic Surgeons around. Thank you so much Dr. Shahrdar for a job well done.

Dr. Shahrdar did the minimally invasive type hip replacement surgery on me 4 weeks ago, I was walking the very next day with a walker, my surgery was on Friday, I went home on Monday. I can now walk carefully without assistance at home, I use a cane when I go out. I am so proud of the fact my legs are the same length. I am very pleased with Dr. Shahrdar and the outcome of this surgery.
