"I found Dr. Boyd to be a pleasant, congenial, cutting-edge, capable psychiatrist who was helpful, ethical, trustworthy, and a person who went beyond the normal efforts of an ordinary psychiatrist that i have had at any time. Dr. Boyd took longer than the usual 15 minutes to look at your entire case history. He took copious amounts of notes to evaluate your condition as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of the drugs prescribed. Most importantly, he was a psychiatrist who actually cared about his patients. I have observed other psychiatrists who take 15 minutes and see you again in four months with little regard to what may be happening in between those four months. Dr. Boyd in my case and I am certain in other cases took the time to do "close follow up" care to evaluate patients with serious mental health conditions. Regarding this doctor's license and legal considerations, I am aware of his problems with dubious ambulance chasers." AMEN!! (+/- a couple of words)

I found that he was ethical, trustworthy, and a person who went beyond the normal efforts of an ordinary psychiatrist that i have had at any time. Dr. Boyd took longer than the usual 15 minutes to look at your entire case history. He took copious amounts of notes to evaluate your condition as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of the drugs prescribed. Most importantly, he was a psychiatrist who actually cared about his patients. Not to worry. He retired. Newspaper reports:A Tuscaloosa psychiatrist has been banned from practicing medicine in the state after allegations of sexual misconduct with at least four of his patients. Allie Boyd's medical license was revoked when the Alabama State Board of Medical Examiners ruled on Jan. 4 that he engaged in unprofessional conduct that was "immoral, willful, and shameful" and goes against the Medical Licensure Commission's rules. Five former patients filed suit against Boyd in May 2005, claiming sexual harassment during his care at North Harbor Pavilion, at the Tuscaloosa Treatment Center and his private residence.

THIS MAN IS A JOKE, HE NEEDS TO SEE A PYSCHIATRIST HIMSELF. HE IS TRULY UNETHICAL. I WAS A PATIENT OF HIS FOR A WHILE A FEW YEARS BACK. MY SISTER STARTED SEEING HIM AND HE ASKED HER IF SHE KNEW ME AND EVEN STATED MY NAME IN THE CONVERSATION. THIS IS A BREECH OF CONFIDENTIALITY AND I WAS NOT PLEASED TO SAY THE LEAST. THIS IS JUST DONE IN THE MEDICAL PROFESSION ESPECIALLY IN HIS FIELD. HE DID NOT KNOW THAT SHE WAS MY SISTER WHEN SHE WALKED IN THE DOOR AND HE HAD NO REASON OR RIGHT TO DO THIS. I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN HIM TO COURT BUT WHO HAS THE MONEY FOR LAWYERS. AT ANY RATE AS A DOCTOR HE DID NOT HELP ME WITH MY ANXIETY PROBLEM. HE PRESCRIBED XANAX BUT WHAT I NEEDED WAS GOOD COUNSELING. HE DOESNT KNOW HOW TO GIVE THIS BECAUSE HE DOESNT EVEN LOOK AT YOU WHEN HE TALKS TO YOU. HE SITS WITH HIS BACK TO YOU AND PROCEEDS TO WRITE AS HE TALKS. HE IS VERY HARD TO HEAR AND HE USES WORDS THAT A PERSON DOES NOT UNDERSTAND UNLESS OF COURSE THEY ARE WORKING IN THIS FIELD. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM AT ALL.

gave me medication that a warning was issued on 5 months before I passed out with a reaction to that particular medicine.
