I had several bad experiences with Dr. Alexander. At one time he gave me too much medicine when giving me shots in my back and had problems waking me up. Then he performed a series of shots on my back, yet billed the insurance co for another procedure. They refused to pay and he charged me $10,000.00 for the one procedure. My insurance co fought it but he ended up turning over the bill to a credit agency and it was put on my credit. He is definitely in it for the $$$$$$

In three years I have never encountered a rude person, a bad visit, or any problems. Dr Alexander is the most knowledgeable and caring Dr I've ever had and he keeps his staff friendly ans caring as well. I can only imagine that all of the negative comments I've seen on here have to be either the drug seekers who r mad because they couldn't get away with or people who can't get along with anyone. If you are a human being and you have been to Dr Alexander, and you are legitimate, there's no way you have been treated badly there. I've never ever been caught any of them having a bad day. They just don't dwell on their own problems they are there to help YOU!

I have given all fives to the categories because what matters the most is the result.

The staff can be very set in their ways. Sometimes so much that you can become very angry. This can be very unhelpful in certain situations, and you wish you could just talk to Dr. Alexander. I have never been successful at being able to talk to him, on the phone, between appointments. The staff also doesn't seem to care about your need at that moment and you will have to wait until your follow up visit. Plan on going to the hospital in between follow up visits. Concerning punctuality, if you want to see your doctor within fifteen minutes of your appointment, this probably will not occur. I do not consider this a problem because I believe in waiting to see the best. If I wanted to see a doctor, who was on time, saw you for 10 minutes, gave you advise that your family doctor can give you,....then this doctor is not for you. I will put up with the bureaucracy of the staff, possibly waiting over an hour to see the doctor, and all the other negative things, because of one thing only.

Dr. Alexander is the best doctor I have ever seen, and I have seen the best. When I say the best, I mean "World Renown" doctors....all the way to Mayo, IU Health, etc. But Dr. Alexander can take just a little bit of information, and then stop you and tell you exactly what you are feeling, even though you didn't tell him that part, tell you exactly what is causing it, and take a course of action to fix your pain. You don't see too many doctors that can look at your eyes and body language and pretty much diagnose you right then. He is that good.

So...if you want your quick, Walmart, walk in, scan your item, and walk out with a substandard product, go back and stand in line for customer service because something wasn't right, and still have problems, then this is not your doctor.

If you can change your perception to..."I will wait for the best", similar to "you get what you pay for", then you can not find a better doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr Alexander for secseveral years. I have cerebral palsy, back pain and neck pain. I have had 17 surgeries. It is my goal to not have any more. Pain Management is not just taking pain medicine. Dr Alexander recommended, physical and aquatic therapy, inversion therapy in addition to my medicine. He worked with me to come up with a plan which requires the LEAST amount of pain reliever. His nurses are very detailed and caring. In all my years there I was never shuffled to a nurse practitioner. I admire Dr Alexander for he is truly a gifted and caring doctor. I have been to many specialists and doctors in my life and he is one of the very few who have strived to help me maintain functionality and health so that I can continue to work and be active with my family.

I have been in pain management for 8 years due to chronic back pain and neuropathy in my leg.I had a doctor before Dr Alexander and he was over medicating me. I stopped going to my old Dr and started with Dr Alexander..his staff is EXCELLENT and so nice and I couldn't ask for a better Doctor! I love going to him because he shows individual caring about every patient he sees. In light of this current witch hunt they're doing on pain management doctors, I felt I needed to say how great he is to me. I had several in office procedures and my pain had decreased significantly. He's a good Doctor.
