If you don't have much knowledge yourself and will just nod and smile to everything, you'll love Dr. Carson and her associates. If you have done any research, you will hate this practice. For example, I knew that I did not want Pitocin because it increases the chance of c-section and has all sorts of side effects. But I was told by Dr. Chin that in their practice, "Everyone gets Pitocin." Silly me, I thought doctors were supposed to make decisions based on medical necessity. I am so sorry I chose this practice to deliver my first baby. Next time I will be choosing a practitioner who doesn't follow sub-par standards of care.

She has delivered two babies for me and will be having her deliver my third this week. I trust her implicitly and in the delivery room she has been amazing.

Dr. Carson has a good professional education but is lacking basic human communication skills. My wife saw her two times and left in tears both times. Hard to imagine it unless you have experienced it yourself.

I was seeing Dr Carson since I was sixteen years old. I never had any issues with her and she answered all of my questions. For two years I couldn't see her since my parents insurance company kicked me off (Before Obama new policy) and when I finally went on with my husband insurance I went back to Dr Carson and she remembered me. When I got pregnant she was there for me. With me she was anti-inducing just because I might have wanted it... of course if it was a medical emergency she would have. She's a great doctor who knows her stuff. Now her staff members... I wish I could say better things... I feel like her nurses didn't care about my pregnancy and was bothering them when I called with questions. The reason I gave a two for staff because there is one nurse who is awesome SARAH! She is very helpful and cares!

I have been a patient of Dr. Carson for over 20 years now, since I was a teenager and I have always received excellent care from her and detailed explanations when I have questions. Many of my friends are also patients and are all happy with her as a doctor.

I was going to Dr. Carson for years and thought she was good. Spends enough time with you and can locate a problem but when it comes to diagnosing look out. Get a second opinion. Hysterectomy is her first solutions and not always correct. She doesn't follow up quickly. Talked about possibility of cancer on the phone with me and blamed me for not being able to reach me even though I called several times and left two different contact numbers. After stating I may have cancer didn't call me back for a week. I asked for a second test which she reluctantly gave me and then still stated I needed a hysterectomy. Received a second opinion. No hysterectomy - this doctor removed my cysts laparoscopically and I have had no other problems and very very small scars. Get a second opinion. I left her practice after this as I did not like her attitude, quick diagnosis and lack of follow up.

I am a RN, she was recommended by someone I trust. Waited a long time to see her, appeared bothered by the questions my daughter asked, diagnosed her without even running tests and sent her home on medication. The medical assistant in her office kept dismissing the questions/concerns my daughter had. Dr never called me back about an issue that occurred from medication prescribed. Rudeness from her nursing staff and the "recommended" doctor herself. This was my daughters Gyne appointment, not a good experience!

She is one of the most friendliest doctor I have met in a long time. She made sure that I understood everything, that I came in to see her about

I needed critical emergency attention and I was on a verge of collapsing and fainting (while 4 months pregnant) she made me wait 40 minutes while she leisurely attended other patients. When I requested IV fluids because of my history of fainting she merely downplayed the situation and recommended I go home and lay in bed. However I was insistent and told her that I was about to pass out from loss of fluids. She then scheduled IV fluids in the outpatient facility and told me to walk over there. I did loose consciousness, collapsed and fainted at the outpatient facility because my body was to weak and dehydrated. If Dr. Carson was concerned about my well being she would have attended critical patient (myself) promptly and ordered a wheel chair to take me to the IV facility. When someone is about to collapse, you do not tell them to walk over to get you IV fluids. Her lack of care and negligence towards patients needs endangers lives of patients.

I met with Dr. Carson once during my pregnancy and she was not personable at all, So i saw another Dr who was no different. My third choice of Dr. in the practice was GREAT! when she left the practice I was upset and decided to leave as well. If you are expecting, and you want a close and personal experience this is NOT the place!
