Dr Shakir is such a horrible Doctor and her license should be withdrawn.
A Pediatrician with zero compassion for her patients. She treats her patients like crap and will make you wait for 1-2hrs just to see them for 5minutes.
My kids have been seeing her for 5years now, the last straw being today and as I am typing I am on the phone with my insurance to find another compassionate pediatrician for my girls.
I called the office to book an urgent appointment with her her cos I noticed rashes on my daughter's neck. We got there and waited for approximately 1hr30mins. Her staff told us to pay $1 each for a paper mask if not, she won't attend to us. Other doctors office will give it for free. She refused to see my daughter because she wanted me to zelle her $80 and I don't have zelle setup on my phone, I told her I can use my Debit card, she refused and said "I can't attend to her , go the the ER if its urgent". Go to the ER for rashes!? Woow!Just because you want $80 cash. The patients health doesn't matter to her. I will advice you, The kids life shouldn't be in her care. She would prefer the patient lose their life than treat them if not given cash.
And her horrible attitude! Our kids nmdont need a doctor like this

This office is dirty and outdated! You wait more than an hour Everytime! I waited an hour just for a TB reading! Hey attitude is funky and her staff is not knowledgeable! I'm looking for a new Doctor as we speak! She's very unsupportive as well! I've been with her 8 years and I'm done!

The wait is MINIMUM an hour every time! It's horrible that they schedule you 30-mins to an hour before the doctor even arrives. We're here now and we've been waiting for an hour now.(never fails) I've been told she should have been here 30 mins ago!! After my son's physical I'm looking for a new doctor. An hour + wait is not worth the 2 MINUTE time she spends to do my son's checkup.

Overall, a terrible experience. The wait is ridiculous, but that's not the worse part. Dr. Shakir argued me down about unnecessary shots for my 3 yr. old and refused to complete her physical/ school forms. I followed up with her previous Dr. who confirmed she was up to date... only after she was given an additional polio vaccination. No apologies, and no explanation. The front office staff got her to fill out the papers... several days later. Find a more competent Physician for your child.

I agree with most of the comments here Dr. Zeba Shakir is a HORRIBLE pediatrician with a demeanor to match. Her staff consistently overbooks causing a 2 hour or more wait before being seen. If you do not speak up for your child as a parent she will subject them to numerous unnecessary medical treamtment such as x-rays, MRI's and repeated blood work. She also gives off the impression that she will report you to child services when you refuse to follow her orders. After being patient with this doctor for 13 years I am finally changing my PCP and so are my sisters and other family members who all have complained of the same issues with Dr. Shakir. I don't believe that a sick child should be subjected to a 2 hour plus wait before being examined. While her staff is pleasant many of them lack the proper training as they are just interns from local medical assistant programs with no real guidance/supervision. The wait time in unbelievable and her attitude is horrible!!

So I don't like the wait time, but Dr. Shakir has been my daughter doctor for 17 years, an I love her. It took me 3 times to find the right one. Patient/Doctor relationship is very important to me. Dr Shakir has been easy to talk to and cares for the well being of my daughter. She always asks to see how I am, and being through so much health issues myself especially my cancer, she always goes the extra mile to make sure she's on top of my daughter's health issues . Yes people complain bout the office wait, but if it's an emergency go to the E.R., if not then I will wait the wait, for I know my daughter is in good hands!!!

Dr Zeba Shakir's office is poorly run, always overcrowded and is not interested in making the experience for the parent or child convenient....cash only office which is not communicated until you show up. I'm not sure why the receptionist gives you the option of making a set appointment because no matter what time you book you still have to wait at least 1 hour. I'm sure appointments are overbooked which I can only blame Dr Zeba for as it's her practice. I recently moved, found her thru my insurance carrier's website and at this point just need my daughters medical school form complete.....then I am sooo finding another doctor!!!

She is absolutely terrible!! She treats her patients and the parents like crap by making us wait 1-2 hrs before we even see her! One time I waited 3! The office will be full of patients yet she isn't even at her office. My daughter had broken her leg and I was reported. I told her and also told her that the orthopedic said that it was a minor fracture and that he wouldn't have suspected abuse. Well Dr. Shakir had the nerve to question it even though she sees my daughter every other month and had me take my 9 month old to a damn optometrist and then to get a full body X-ray. I am PISSED that my young baby was exposed to all of that radiation because the woman who sees how I interact with my baby and who has never suspected abuse, questioned my parenting. I switched doctors right away. Zeba Shakir, you are terrible and your license should be revoked!!!!
