I have gone to this office 2 times for a rash. It was diagnosed as excema. The first time I was treated by Bernice Johnson and was pleased with her service and concern. The second time by Dr Mandrea. Also was satisfied with his helpfulness and knowledge. I would recommend this dermatologist to others.

I waited over one and a half hours just to be put in a room at the Palos office.Dr. Mandrea came in about fifteen minutes after that. I had a very small growth on the end of my nose that I wanted to get checked out, I am left with a scar 5 times the size. Instead of using a laser, he cut it out. It is very upsetting. He also gave me an acne medication with an ingredient I'm allergic to. He didn't take the time to check, he rushed through the entire 10 minute appointment! Avoid, avoid, avoid this doctor. I wish I had.

Doctor Mandrea was not very responsive and explained very little in terms of the progression of the treatment, and the expected result. At the time I did my treatment (laser resurfacing), it didn't seem like his office did this procedure often enough. It felt as if the doctor and his staff were on their toes. I paid as much as I had expected (albeit a pretty sizeable amount), but I can't rate the experience, or the results very highly. The doctor gives the appearance of being somewhat absent-minded and does procedures that require a fair amount of downtime without a lot of explanation or further notice. There is a lot of waiting around the office for the doctor to arrive or to get to your room. I waited for more than an hour once from the time of my appointment. His staff was friendly and helpful. The Chicago office seemed better run than the Palos Hills office. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this doctor.

I went to this doctor knowing there was 1 treatment his office performs that takes care of all my concerns. The doctor recommended 3 different treatments & 2 medications (that he asked me to buy from him instead of a pharmacy). I have never in my life been charged $185 for a doctor visit, and to recommend 3 expensive treatments when he has the technology to treat me with one is an outrage. This guy is a money hungry crook.
