Dr. Hines performed a flawless PRK on my son, as it was required by Air Force Special Forces to be corrected to 20/20 in both eyes. Prior to the PRK, my son's vision was 20/50, and 20/100. Without the high level of technical ability by Dr. Hines and the professionalism of his staff, my son would not be getting his medical waiver by the U.S. Surgeon General, and to serve so that others might live.

I waited for 2.5 hours and never saw my doc. Had an 8:45am appointment, and had to leave at 11am. Maybe i am one of the few patients of dr. Hines that works for a living. Dr. Hines demonstrated zero respect for my time. If you plan to see dr. Hines, you should plan to spend a long time waiting.

Lasik in Denver at Hines-Sight Dr. Hines, I cannot express enough how grateful I am for all you have done for me. When I first saw you over a year ago I was a frustrated artist who was losing my craft because of my increasing vision problems, You immediately put me at ease and formulated a treatment plan. I am so thankful for your skill and experience. So here we are !!!. We've been through cataract surgery and now Lasik surgery. I haven't seen this well since I was eight years old. So life begins at 57. Art school, E-bay business...private pilot..I have new possibilities, as the sky is the limit. I am extremely fortunate to have found you.

Dear Bill, I think I have just witnessed a miracle over the last two days! Dick and Harriet called from their car phone on their way back to Simla a few minutes ago, and they are just as pleased as they can be. They are so special to me and I have shed a few tears of joy at this opening of a new world for Dick as he once again beholds the beauty of leaves on trees. Both of them have reiterated how nice you and your whole staff were as they explored this new procedure and experienced amazement at the results. Tom is my next project! Thanks again, Bill. We join the ranks of many who have benefited from your expertise. You deserve the warm glow that you must feel after you have enriched the lives of so many.

Things seemed to start out ok for LASIK. BUT, day of procedure, I waited 2 hours after scheduled appt. for surgery. Dr. H is late for every follow up appt. That's not all! During surgery of one eye, the blade slipped, and no laser correction could be done. AND...the other eye was overcorrected. He doesn't seem to care; I feel like a number-just going through revolving door and have lost trust. Office provided contact lenses to wear since my vision was not corrected properly. I feel like he tried to blame me rather than fess up and take responsiblity for two mistakes. I paid A LOT of money to Dr. H, took hours and hours of time off work for follow up appts. (which were included in the cost of the surgery). I did a lot of research, and he got good reviews. But, neither eye was successful. Some staff members are friendly, others seem they are going through the motions. I don't care he did LASIK on sports athletes; provide the same care, expertise, and attention to everyone.

To Dr. Bill Hines and his caring staff, I give you my sincerest thanks for giving me new vision. 20/20 vision after a lifetime of thick, thick glasses is still a miracle to me. Also, thank you for the continued love and care at each follow up exam. I will never go to anyone else.

It is amazing the anxiety I went through before my surgery. I was turning my "eyesight" over to relativley unknown group. Bill Hines and his staff walked me through my fear and gave me my eyesight back. What a wonderful experience.

Their office has fail repeatedly to send reminders for check ups, despite two requests. Being a conscientious patient though, appts were kept but too far apart (busy working life) and one visit Dr. Cushing expertly and correctly diagnosed Wet Macular Degeneration, sent me to surgeon who saved 80 % sight. But now the Hines office refuses to give last contact lens prescription out for lost lens without new test which is NOT poss because of Wet AMD. Office staff (NOT Hines or Cushing) on phone would not listen to specifics and will not issue scrip without new test nor allow talk + drs. Giving out last scrip is apparently not against the law in CO even for people whose sight will not allow another (Wet AMD) ! - essential for peripheral vision that remains in that eye. They appear more interested in laser procedures than even essential refractive lens work. This complaint is about the staff, though, NOT the doctors who are expert in their field.
