I do a lot of research before and after visits because I need to keep up with his conversation -- he is not one to tolerate questions or pause. Still seeing him because it's convenient right now and I haven't reached my intolerance point yet... but I know it's coming.

Terrible!

Dr. Luis Diaz has a problem with his attitude and he is unwilling to listen to his patients.

Since the first visit with him he did not only interrupted us (My mother and I) so that he could make his short physical exam, but he also was never willing to listen to us. He was looking for "yes" or "no" answers when sometimes it is difficult to say. He also kept comparing and challenging our answers to what his nurse had written. It is not that it was bad, it is just that it was plain rude.
After he had a diagnosis he walked in the room and started talking about how my mother felt. When she tried to stop him to correct him on a little detail he asked us not to say anything more since his diagnosis was already done and he would not change his mind regardless of what we said.
In all three visits we made with him, he kept saying things like "We can stay here and keep talking about meaningless details, or we can move on to my conclusion." (Note: Our conversations were in Spanish; therefore my translations might not be literally correct. Therefore, I am not quoting him word by word.)

As the visits progressed his attitude did not get better. He had given us the order for an MRI scan in case we decided to do so just to be on the safe side. However, our insurance required us to visit a Specialist first. So we did and took the MRI order from the Specialist and not Dr. Diaz.
When we came back to Dr. Diaz and told him we had an appointment for the MRI the Specialist ordered, Dr. Diaz seemed stuck up and defensive about us going for a second opinion and not going to the person he had suggested nor taken the MRI order he had given us. From then on, it just seemed as if he was upset. Actually, he refused to sign the disability paperwork for my mother since he was refusing to give us follow ups with her case, that the Specialist should do that. We told him that the Specialists don't do follow ups. Next available appointment for the specialist was in four months. To our problem, Dr. Diaz said "Well, that is when you need to start looking for another doctors".

He was less than willing to help, and everything he said, he said with an attitude and constantly interrupting. He is not willing to listen to his patients nor to change his mind after the first minutes of his exam. I understand if you know what the problem is, but it can never hurt to listen to the patient.

Overall it was a terrible experience that let me out of his office with my fists clenched.

Great Doctor! My normal doctor could not fit me in for an appointment. I tried Dr. Diaz from a random selection on Google Maps. He and his staff were excellent and very prompt. Highly recommend and I will be switching to him permanently.

Dr. Dias doesn't spend time with patient because he spends time looking at his tablet. When the patient tries to talk, he tells them to wait, he has to write or make notes on his tablet.

I have been going to Dr. Diaz since moving here in '98. I like him but I don't like most of his satff. I walked in for lab work @ 8:20, nobody was in the waiting room and the person at the front desk didn't even say hello. I said Good Morning and what I was there for and she said Hi and sign in. I then waited for 15 minutes just to get blood work done. When the Lab tech called me back she was very unpleasant. I work in healthcare and I have found there to be a great decline in friendliness and professionalism. I WILL be looking for a new Doctor.

Dr. Diaz has a policy of not renewing prescrpitions without scheduling an appointment to meet with him. His nurse is very bad at returning calls-- it usually takes 2-3 tries. I ran out of allergy medication mid-week, could not get in to see him, and was told that they would not prescribe over the phone. These are allergy medications I have been taking for years, and the second I stop taking them I get a sinus infection. I am now hostage to his office visit to renew my prescription, and by the time I get in there I will have a sinus infection. I will look for another doctor.

Dr. Diaz has a terrible bedside manner and is abrupt and haughty. He did not show respect toward me and treated me with impatience and condescension. He also kept me waiting for nearly an hour. I will not go to him for health care again.

Dr. Diaz is a very thorough Dr. I have been seeing him for almost ten years and he does a great job. Sometimes you have to wait a little while, but its because he takes time to answer his patients questions. I would definitely recommend him to a friend.
