The wait time to see this doctor is horrendous.. I will find someone else.

This group has moved to 10258 Southwest Highway in Chicago Ridge. I had a 1:30 appointment with this doctor and after waiting over 2 hours I was informed by the staff (after I asked when I was going to see him) that he wasn't even there yet. At which point I left NEVER to return. Many people have told me how good and caring the doctor is, but any doctor that makes his patients wait 2-4 hours obviously thinks HIS time is more valuable than his patients and is completely worthless to me as a healthcare provider.

Dr Govostis is very caring, knowledgeable, and very good at what he does. The discouraging part is his office staff and punctuality. I have gone with my mom to her last 4 appointments and we have waited 2 to 4 hours which is unacceptable. The waiting room becomes a complaining fest. Many patients bring someone with them to the appointment and its an inconvenience for all involved. Patients would have a better attitude if they were treated as if their time also mattered. We understand Dr Govostis is very busy and emergencies come up. A suggestion would be that if he is running late, the office staff could contact the patients and inform them that the doctor is running 3 hours late. Instead of arriving at 3, please come in at 6. This would solve a lot of complaining in the waiting room. Instead of the office girls chit chatting, they could be calling the patients.

This doctor is very kind and knowledgeble, but the wait times are very bad. The office is contantly cancelling or postponing appointments, since the doctor needs to be in surgery. Since this hospital is huge, it is hard to believe he cant get more help.

highley recomend this doctor,my only complaint is waiting to see him in his office,it can take two hours plus.My family is very gratefull for the find job he done on my husbands tripple AAA

Dr. Govostis is obviously quite knowledgeable and competent in his field of medicine. His surgical techniques, and more importantly, results are excellent. He takes whatever time is necessary to make his patients at ease and comfortable, explaining patient care in ways anyone can understand. The office needs to do a better job of scheduling. The wait time can be significant to see the doctor.
