Dr. Andrews did a two level spinal fusion on me nearly 20 years ago. He gave me my life back. The surgery was the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. (I left Kaiser to get to him because Kaiser wanted me to live in pain.).

Some people have said he is arrogant. I believe they are mistaking arrogance for confidence. He knows what he is going.

He is very matter-of-fact in his style. If you want a new friend, he may not be your guy. But if you want a good outcome, make an appointment.

I had neck surgery with Dr. Andrews and my pain eventually went away. I also called him because I was in terrible pain post surgery and he prescribed additional painkillers and muscle relaxants that helped a lot.. He is a no nonsense type of person and is extremely knowledgeable and helped me a lot.

Brian is atypical in his field as he is not driven by an ego-based perception of the work he is doing. When you've got a brain tumor it's refreshing to deal with a doctor who is concerned with making a connection at the personal level.

Cold, uncaring, and not as good as he thinks he is. If he makes a mistake, he blames the patient. If something exceptionally bad happens, he disappears.

Top notch.. Dr Andrews took the time to explain my back condition, give me my options and apologize that I would have to wait 3 weeks for the surgery. Understand this, he apologized for not being able to get me in sooner. What doctor does that let alone one who is supposedly arrogant? I am one week post op and the results are better than I could have ever expected to this point. I am expecting a full recovery and look forward to being completely pain free in a matter of months if not weeks. I never saw this arrogance that people describe here. He took a call from me at 9:30 pm. I know no other doctor other than my GP that would do that. You want results, this is your man. You want compassion, this is your man, You want him to fit perfectly into your idea of what he should be then you might as well go somewhere else. You will be forever searching for that criteria. His personal executive assistant Kelly is top notch as well. She will give you all the information you need to make your surgery and stay go smoothly. This is your man, you would be hard pressed to find a better package.

Dr Andrews is very arrogant. He doesn't listen to you and if his surgery doesn't fix the problem it is your fault. I don't care how great a surgeon he may be. His bedside manner is terrible. Go to someone else who is a good surgeon and can at least act like he cares about you as a person and not a body part.

Dr. Andrews performed a very complicated surgery on my neck 18 years ago. I had a great result and no problems until I experienced an accident on my horse 3 months ago. I was in terrible pain and called Dr. Andrew's office and talked to his scheduler. He was scheduled out for about 2 mos. but she said she would give him my message and details. I was quite astounded when I answered my cell phone the very next day and it was Dr. Andrews himself, inquiring about my injury and then asking if I could come in the next day for an MRI and exam. What a wonderful Neurosurgeon! He looked at my MRI did an exam, and then told me what to expect. He was exactly right on and I am totally better now as he had predicted. No surgery required. The surgery he performed 18 years ago gave me back a normal life and I will always be grateful to him. He is a kind and thoughtful Physician. His staff goes the extra mile and more to accomodate his patients.

This MD is excelent when it comes to his knowledge, however, he has absolutely NO bedside manner. That's OK, but when he says that he's numb to tel calls (6 in 4 months) and won't return calls, I find this appauling. It feels like he has a project and then moves on without regard for patient feelings. I've mentioned this to him and he says he does not apologize for his behavior.

Highly recommended by two nurses One of them had had Dr. Andrews do his back surgery. For me he did two surgeries 6 years apart. 1st for stenosis next for a very bad disc. Both very sucessful I am pain free. A perfectionest, quiet man but said enough to make me and my family confident enough to fully trust him.
