Very impressive physician — thorough and careful with wonderful personality. Appointment was not rushed and she explained everything carefully. Dr B is a terrific listener and seems holistic in her approach to medicine — she factored in my entire health profile before addressing my conditions. I feel very safe under her care and think she has to be one of the DC-area’s top dermatologists.

I have been going to Dr. Brenda Berberian for over seven years. When she does my annual body scan, she spends about 30 minutes on the scan and then whatever additional time is needed to discuss new issues. She is very thorough: she compares the size of every existing spot to her previous year’s measurements. In addition, she has a very friendly bedside manner: she is open, personable, knowledgeable, and friendly. Unfortunately, she is no longer taking new patients because, even with my influence as a current patient, I couldn’t get my husband in as a patient. She should be the standard for an excellent dermatologist! On the good news side, she has a new staff person who runs the desk. Rodrigo is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful (compared to the previous woman who never smiled and was always unfriendly).

Dr. Berberian is a friendly and competent doctor. Unfortunately, her receptionist works hard to make her inaccessible. If you are seeking a routine skin check (all I ever needed) the wait is 12 months - no exceptions. A great doctor who is inaccessible is not a great doctor. The receptionist enjoys the power she has to regulate your access to medical care. To schedule an appointment you need to gird for battle (unless you know you are sick). Unfortunately, I had to switch practices because the recptionist became a barrier.

She is the best doctor on the planet. I have had issues with a rash that turned out to be Lyme Disease, and she called me on a Sunday. The professionalism and knowledge she displays is staggering. Excellent MD.
