I am very disappointed with Dr O’Shea and the doctors office at OBGYN associates of Akron. During my annual visit the doctor much to my surprise and huge disappointment said they messed up and provided me with mirena versus paragard 5 years ago. Yes!! 5 years- how could the doctor not notice it all this while and causally break the news at the checkup table? I specifically chose paragard to avoid harmonal option. On top of that they have the arrogance to ask me to check with my insurance whether they would cover the paragard so they can switch it out. I honestly thought dr O’Shea was a fairly good doctor and had good opinion about their office. After this incident I would discourage anyone from EVER going there. It’s the attitude and the careless approach that really got to me.

Dr. O’Shea is excellent. I had my first little boy by the help from her. She listened and cared about your concerns and she is confident about all the situations during the pregnancy. The staffs are just ok. I had insurance issue with them and the staffs make me feel not that confortable to talk about the bills. But! Dr. O’Shea is definitely worth it!

Dr. O'Shea is an amazing OB/GYN. I began going to her during my first pregnancy. She was very supportive and helpful throughout my entire pregnancy. I was never rushed during my appt. She always, thoroughly, addressed my questions and concerns. She was instrumental in easing my worries in regards to a genetic family history of a bone condition, which assisted in planning an appropriate and safe birth plan. After first going into labor, a quick decision needed to be made about my delivery based on fluctuating vitals of my baby and plan B: C-section had to done. I was a mess, despite knowing WAY ahead of time, because of the bone condition, that this was a very plausible plan. Dr. O'Shea was AMAZING, trying to calm my emotions (and tears) and she held my hand through the spinal when I broke down and did not have my husband in the room. She delivered my baby girl safely and stitched me up great (barely noticeable now). After seeing her for post partum and for an annual health visits, I can only say wonderful things about her and her practice skills, I highly recommend any women going to her for their OBGYN needs.

The earliest appointment I can get is 7 months later. Have kept calling them for 2 months. No luck. Most time staff is very nice. One staff who picked my call said there is no cancellation immediately after I asked if there is opening. Did she even try to check Dr. calendar? Feel like she couldn't wait to hang the phone.
This place must be really popular. If you want to see Dr. O'Shea, make an appointment as early as possible. I got no say how the doctor is since I haven't seen her yet. But her review is the best among all OB in the area. I'll wait...

Dr. O'shea is hands down the best doctor I have ever had. She really takes genuine interest in her patients and always has the patient's well being in my mind. There have been several instances she has gone above and beyond the general expectations of a physician. I recommend her to every woman I meet who is looking for an OB GYN. She and her staff are always courteous, always eager to assist patients, and so personable and friendly. I have never met another doctor or staff this exceptional.

I have been seeing Dr. O'Shea for 5 years now, and she delivered my two children. She is very personable, and naturally has the ability to help women feel comfortable with all of the things that just come with 'being a woman', and that feature makes me believe that she loves her job. She seems like she is a person who enjoys her family, her job, and stays active and healthy in her personal time. I think that relating to patients is a hard quality to find in a doctor, since most doctor are strictly factual and do not have the greatest bedside manner. Finding such a friendly, knowledgeable and professional doctor is not easy anymore and I feel lucky to have found one.

After having 2 miscarriages at another practice I switched to Maura OShea. She was the first doctor to actually listen to my concerns and run blood tests my previous doctor refused to do (others told me I had to have 1 more first) and found I had 2 blood clotting disorders. Finally with her help I got pregnant and delivered a baby girl by unplanned csection. She did such an amazing job my stretch marks look worse than my csection scar. Throughout the pregnancy she listened to my concerns and is a truly caring person. I just wish I could find a general practice doctor like her. She truly knows what she is doing and cares about her patients. It makes me cringe to think about going to any other OB. If her practice ever decided not to take my insurance I would either switch insurances or pay out of pocket just to keep her.

Dr. O'Shea is the best doctor I've ever had. She was thorough and effective in helping me through a high risk pregnancy after a stillbirth. She always took the time to discuss options and answer all our questions. I have recommended her to friends and family, and they have been very pleased that they switched and are now her patients.
