I am writing, on behalf of my mother, who cannot see. She was specifically referred to Dr. Pak by her eye doctor. She has been suffering with severe dry eyes for the past 3 years. She was told Dr. Pak would check her tear ducts to determine if they were plugged and not functioning properly. She was cautiously optimistic Dr. Pak could improve her situation. He is, after all, an eye specialist at the Wheaton EYE CLINIC. She is 88 years old and in a wheelchair so getting to and from his office requires planning. Upon arrival, she was told, by Dr Pak, that she was in the wrong office and that he could do nothing for her. She explained who sent her and why. He then proceeded to pour water in her eyes (quite painful) and told her nothing is plugged. That's it. He was rude, dismissive and completely unprofessional. Perhaps he treats his plastic surgery patients differently. If you have serious eye issues, find a serious eye specialist - NOT Dr. Pak.

We had a weird visit in this clinic. Just recently my father had an Oculoplastics appointment with Dr. John Pak. Unfortunately, the visit turned out very cold and unpleasant. He needs to be more attentive to a detail treatment. Being a student of health science I would argue that he didn’t even diagnosed a treatment. He needs to bring compassion and empathy towards the patient. We are from a minority community and we certainly didn’t like his energy and left the clinic very confused about the experience…

Went in to have a reconstructive eye sling, which is a very rare surgery. I originally had it done by a different Dr. when I was 3 years old. 20 years later I found Dr. Pak and he did an excellent job re-slinging my eyes. They are incredibly symmetrical and he cares so much about the details of his work. He put me at ease and thoroughly explained the procedure. I felt assured and at ease the entire time. Thanks Dr. Pak!!
