My daughter had vaginoplasty surgery with Dr. Purohit in May 2022. We met with him the first time December 2021. When we first met with Dr Purohit, he was very thorough and patient. He took the time to answer all of our questions and used the whiteboard in the exam room to visually diagram the different options in a way that made it easy to understand. We never felt rushed and we could tell pretty quickly he was the surgeon we wanted to use. From there, we started the scheduling process and started working with Sam in the office to get everything sorted out. Having Sam on our team made us feel like we were having a VIP experience. Sam walked us through every step of the process from billing to paperwork to accommodations (since we are from out of town), to what to expect every step of the process. Sam did the communications with all of the departments to make sure everything went smoothly. I honestly feel like we could not have done this without her help. Dr. Purohit did a wonderful job on the surgery and my daughter is extremely happy with the outcome and functionality of her new vagina and vulva, but we all know behind the scenes experiences can make or break the final outcome. Sam did an amazing job coordinating everything and making sure we were taken care of every step of the way. At one point after my daughter surgery, she had a small issue that put us in the emergency room and Dr Purohit‘s team was at her bedside within five minutes of us arriving, even before an ER nurse or doc. They were able to fix the issue and put everything at ease. After the surgery, our questions and need for assistance did not stop, and Dr Purohit and his team were always there to help us with whatever we needed. It has been over two months and my daughter is completely healed, and I still feel like Sam and Dr Purohit are family. Dr. Purohit is very obviously a brilliant surgeon, and very good at what he does, but he also cares about his patients and is willing to go the extra mile to make sure the experience is top notch from start to finish. Highly recommend. I was a very nervous mother and I’m so thankful for the care we received from Dr Purohit, Sam, and the rest of the behind-the-scenes team.

There probably isn't enough room here for me to say all the good things that I want to say about Dr. Rajveer S. Purohit , but I will surely try to make it fit. For 15 years I was struggling with a severe urethral stricture and had multiple prior surgeries to open it up with all of them resulting in only minor and temporary relief, with the stricture recurring and worsening with each attempt. Luckily I was referred to Dr. Purohit the last time around. Dr. Purohit carefully assessed my stricture with dye studies and determined it was repairable. After an almost 5 hour reconstructive surgery, my stricture is gone and I am fully functional in every way. In addition to his exemplary skills, the Dr. is also caring and compassionate as displayed during my initial consultation when he took the time to get to know me and what my condition was forcing me to exclude from my life (all of which have been returned to me, BTW). He even used the whiteboard to illustrate my damaged tissues and how he planned to repair the condition, thus giving me a complete picture of what to expect. In addition, his office is well equipped and his staff is caring, efficient, competent and professional. I can't imagine anyone having a bad experience with this team. Run, do not walk to Dr. Purohit if you need help with any urological issues.

Dr. Purohit is thoughtful, compassionate and caring. He is also honest and attentive. He allows the patient to be a participant in their healthcare by sharing and educating them on their condition. Consequently, a dialogue ensues and collaboration is done. Thus, the patient is involved from their diagnosis through to their treatment plan. Dr. Purohit also makes it easy for a patient to ask questions.

I found Dr Purohit through an Internet search when I was looking for urologists with extensive experience in complex urethral strictures. At the time, I was in constant discomfort and my life was consumed with staying close to a bathroom.

I traveled to NYC to meet Dr Purohit for my initial consultation and he was very easy to talk to. His office has all of the modern medical equipment you would expect to diagnose a urinary problem. Once he had a better understanding of my situation, he carefully explained the options to me and my wife. We scheduled my surgery for a few weeks later so I could be cleared by my primary physician.
His office did a great job setting up my surgery with NY Presbyterian Cornell Weill.

On the day of the surgery, Dr Purohit was a calming influence for my family members. The surgery would take a few hours and then I would need to stay in the hospital for a few days. I went into the surgery at peace confident in his abilities. My surgery went very well and I was discharged from the hospital without complications a few days later. Dr Purohit stopped by room personally to see how I was doing.

My recovery went well and he checked on me by phone if I reported any concerns post operation. It has been almost 11 months since my surgery and my only regret is that I didn't take care of it sooner. If you or a loved one have a urinary issue and need a great doctor, I highly recommend Dr Purohit. He gave me my life back.

I had been dealing Urethral issues for over 15 Years. I was having to undergo procedures twice a year to help alleviate the problem. It wasn't until I met Dr. Purohit that i had finally felt like i had my life back. Dr. Purohit is not only blessed with great medical skills, he is also blessed with an amazingly compassionate heart.

I have been very stressed, depressed and exhausted about my husband's health last summer. Dr. Purohit is a very nice person, kind, patient, dedicated, knowledge and overall very good doctor. Now my husband is able to enjoy his life like all of us because of highest quality of care and professionalism. We are lucky to know him and to get treatment from him. Dr. Purohit and Dr. Blaivas have been life savers for my Dad!! They have seen him through all of the ups and downs over the past several years and most recently has given my dad his life back through thier kindness, patience and dedication to him. Their knowledge and expertise have allowed my dad to receive the highest quality of care !

The staff is amazing and everyone treats my Dad like family. We could not ask for a better team to manage his care and are thankful, everyday!

After seeing a few doctors I found Dr. Purohit totally outstanding! His professionalism, work ethic and pleasant demeanor put me at ease when deciding to undergo the green light surgery for my enlarged prostate.
