A real pro. Warm and human, but professional to the max. It is hard to imagine a surgeon who genuinely cares more for his patients.

This guy is AWESOME! Several years ago he saved my life when my colon (literally) broke open (advanced diverticulitus). He saved me from a permanent colostomy due to his techniques and did the two follow-up surgeries (colostomy takedown and a later abdominal wall reconstruction). Bedside manner second to none. I am a big, confident guy and I was putty in his hands I trusted him so much. Cannot recommend this guy enough!

Timmerman saved my life after Dr. Keith Hansen of Sanford OBGYN caused me to go into septic shock after performing a same-day routine laparoscopy. Hansen was told to stop if he encountered scar tissue & to cut me open. He went ahead anyway & knicked my bowel. I had to return to the hospital the next morning, when they still did nothing but give me anti-nausea and pain meds for my complaints. Then next morning (2 days after my same-day surgery) Hansen's nurse got me up to see if I could go to the bathroom. When I sat up, bowel content spilled onto the floor, oozing from the wounds in my stomach from the surgery. Dr. Timmerman was summoned to my room & he performed emergency surgery. I was close to death. He said my entire intestines & bowel were out of my body & in his hands as he checked for & found the slice Hansen had made in it. 3 & 1/2 weeks later I got to go home with a tube sticking out of my stomach to suck the bowel content out of my insides, which stayed connected for weeks.
