there are probably a small handful of physicians in america who are - possibly - as good as jeff harris. but without question, there are none better. he was born to be a doctor, the same way that pavarotti was born to be an opera singer. he also has a special quality not commonly found in practicing physicians: he is a good and decent human being (the kind everybody thinks themselves to be, but whom you may never actually meet a genuine exemplar, in real life). he sees, he hears, he knows, he cares --- he is the BEST of the BEST.

I was a former patient of Dr. Jeff Harris's two years ago. I had 1-3 visits, and following my 3rd visit, I changed addresses and phone numbers multiple times due to a serious stalker case. I was also advised not to forward any mail via USPS for my own security and safety. Apparently I had an outstanding balance of $350 dollars that I was unaware of. Fast forward 2 years, they sent the bill to collections and I was finally contacted by Ronald Reynolds of Century Credit and Collections and he placed a collection of my credit report. As I have been communicating to him to try to resolve this, all I asked for was a bill and a break down in fees. I am absolutely okay paying any interest accrued. He was not willing to provide me with that information. I called the office directly and spoke with Heather, explaining the situation and she would not let me talk to the doctor to explain. She was not nice at all--it seems like nobody is interested in letting me take care of this. I was shocked to know Dr. Harris's office would not be empathic to my situation at all, and has written me off. Below is an email I sent to the creditor today, who was extremely rude. Moral of the story, god forbid something in "life" happens to you and the office can't get in touch with you regarding an unsettled bill, they will treat you horribly. The funny this is, I paid all my coinsurance during the first two visits and between that and my PPO reimbursement, I'm sure over 2k was spent...you think they'd treat me a little nicer and connect the dots. I would not recommend seeing this doctor after this experience as the office is not understanding at all.

"Hi Robert,

As explained to you over the phone, this was a mix up--I have changed address 3 times and phone number 2 times in only two years because of a very serious stalker case that I am sure Dr. Harris would be empathetic about, as you clearly were not. I was instructed by my attorney to NOT forward any mail by USPS as a safety measure.

Due to this, I could see how the office was not able to get in touch with me and even when you called, you didn't explain anything about the debt, who doctor Dr. Harris was or where he was located, leading me to believe this was a former UCLA surgical bill that was written off.

After looking him up on my own and jogging my memory, I was able to clearly remember who Dr. Harris is and what he treated me for, and am happy to pay my outstanding balance and interest accrued given that this unfortunately event was out of my control, to take responsibility, however you wouldn't break down any of calculations for me and I never saw a bill.

The reason I've hung up on you, twice now, to the contrary, is because you've been rude and unwilling to let me get a word in, and continued to press your own agenda on me while I was trying to "fix" this mess up. I understand this is your job, but you don't understand that I am not a person who doesn't pay my bills, this was a misunderstanding between both parties.

And of course, I will only pay off this debt if it is removed from my credit report. It's unfortunate you've let your emotions take over--as I'm sure Dr. Harris's office would like to collect my payment.

Once again you've called us and hung on me after asking us to work something out with you, which I was clearly trying to do.

You said that you "weren't trying to argue with me", yet you continued talking over me and refusing to pay more than the original balance from 2016, but ONLY if we deleted the item from your credit profile.

You asked me to call you back, but you let it go to voicemail.

The offer to delete this will not be offered to you again, especially after hanging up on me in mid sentence.....again.

You may take care of the full amount when you get around to it and it will change to a paid status which is what is required of us.

Please do not call us again with the attitude you have given us today and in the past.

This is an attempt to collect a debt. Any information obtained will be used for that purpose."

Dr Jef is an outstanding individual in every way- and helped support my husband as he recovered from Burkitt's lymphoma and a stem cell transplant. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

RE: the person who says she is 46 now.
Err, VERY odd review, she does not say what she found objectionable 30 years ago. Vague allegatations mean zip.
Both I (age 49) and my son (age 21) have seen him, my son for chronic Lyme which Santa Barbara doctors misdiagnosed for YEARS, effectively destroying his life. Jeff is not only an excellent doctor, he keeps abreast of all new medical developments. He spends as much time as needed (which is unheard of for someone billing regular ins).
I have worked in the medical proffesion my entire life, and there are VERY few Dr's who can hold a candle to Jeff.
Vague, odd, and unsubstantiated allegations.
16 and an STD...seems she was upset with the physical exam. Pfft.
Exams, while potentially uncomfortable and invasive, are sometimes nec for her particular problem. To accuse this Dr. of assualt is not OK.
Jeff and his staff are rockstars, and I know wereof I speak.

Jeff is, hands down, the best doctor out there. He takes his time to review your symptoms, and dig to the bottom of any issue. I just cant say enough about how awesome this doctor.

He is one of the most caring doctors I have ever met. He truly wants to find out what is the ailment and heal. I am a patient as well as my children, I trust him and wish I lived closer but will make the journey to see him. Wish more doctors were like him!

Dr. Harris is a treasure in Malibu. He goes out of his way to be flexible in scheduling. There have been times I've stopped in to set an appointment, and he has told me just take a seat, and he'd save me another trip. Patient, experienced, and caring.

Dr.Harris is a very kind, perceptive doctor in thAt he knew which tests to order to look into what was ailing me. His bed side manner is outstanding. He takes his time listening and asking questions. He will run a lot of tests to try to find out more info. Thanks to this doctor I realized I have pcos and a genetic mutation where I can't break down folic acid. I would love to have him as my primary care doctor but he is an hour and a half (in traffic) from where I am. He is a very caring doctor that clearly knows what he is doing.

We LOVE Dr. Jeff, he is highly intelligent and keeps up with newest protocols, he did not just sit on his butt after medical school decades ago, he is up on all the latest. Very kind, very sweet, but more importantly is constantly learning and keeping abreast of current medicine. I left Santa Barbara County doc's to go to him.Everyone I have referred to him agrees, and they don't mind the drive as he is so good. The complaints about having to wait...well, he takes as much time as it takes, with him. He gives the patient his all, so may run over time allotted. This is a GOOD thing, and if pp have to wait, it is due to him being being THOROUGH with the previous patient.... I tell you that it is WORTH IT. He IS human, Doctors are not Gods. But he is one of the only docs I know that don't have the "GOD COMPLEX" is willing to learn from his patients. He is a wonderful doctor and I can't recommend him highly enough. In addition to adults thinking highly of him, he is EXCELLENT with children.
