I saw Dr. Baird for several appointments from 2006 to 2007 for fibromyalgia, in Lyndon on Herr Lane and then at Eastpoint. At one point he questioned me about the fact that I was single (at that time) and that I needed a husband. His nurse, his wife was solely starting IV's to multiple patients in the same room for weekly vitamin B infusions which were paid for at first by Medicare. After several infusions, the staff informed me over the phone that Medicare would no longer pay for them. I was upset about this, over the phone. Dr. Baird wrote me a letter following my conversation with his staff. He refused to see me as a patient any longer because he said I was abusive to staff which he MAY have been right about, I get that. (He had been prescribing all my medications: an antidepressant, antianxiety, heart medicine as well as other medicines unrelated to his practice which he assured me who could and would do). He informed me of his refusal to write for any future refills, which made sense. BUT he also cancelled/refused TO HONOR any refills I currently had left on prescriptions he had written and there were several refills; approximately 5 prescription drugs or more. The immediate unavailability of these prescription drugs was potentially physically & psychologically dangerous. This was an immoral practice of medicine contradicting the Hippocratic Oath of "Do No Harm." I went without all of them for weeks with multiple side effects as well as a visit to the ER as I scrambled to find doctors who would see me and prescribe my medications. Today, fifteen years later I drove past his old office in Eastpoint, decided to check out his reviews and then left my review. It's good to see he was finally caught in fraud and that several others validate my experience. I've though for 15 years it was solely it was fault.
