Each time I saw Dr Ansher he was incredibly rude, egotistical, and entirely unhelpful. He repeatedly refused to answer my questions saying ?you don?t need to get ahead of yourself.? And ?if you went to first year medical school, you would know the answer.? When I expressed concerns about increased cancer risk of a prescribed medication he said ?if you don?t take this medicine, you won?t live long enough to die of cancer.? He repeatedly gaslit me and denied that he told me things at prior visits. He insinuated that I caused my autoimmune disease through salmonella (??), which I have never had, and said I needed to be on a permanent liquid diet or he?d give me a feeding tube. When I complained of weight loss he commented that that was a positive, since I was getting married. Despite a year of treatment and his claim that he could cure me ?like that,? I am worse now than I have ever been despite being compliant with all medical directions. I would not recommend ANYONE to see this man.

Dr. Dougherty Disrespectful. I got there at 12:40pm and appointment 1:00pm at 1:35 he never came in . I was the only patient. If you are Dr. Ansher patient he will kick you to the side when you get 65 so find you someone now. My 30 years with Dr. Ansher was good until I got 65.

I would advise against going to see Dr. Ansher as well as his practitioner Beth Banker. Both of them seemed very unwilling to thoroughly investigate my symptoms and kept brushing them off, Beth even told me that all my symptoms were due to stress and I needed to see a psychiatrist rather than a GI specialist. The only time Dr. Ansher actually spent a decent amount of time with me was after an endoscopy and colonoscopy when he discussed the findings, other than that he stood by the door and was always in a rush during office visits and also seemed annoyed whenever I told him I had another question/concern. He looked over some bloodwork results I brought with me to my recent appointment and said one of the numbers was not good but that was as far as it got before he gave me a script for new medication and said he had another patient to see. Also be advised that as of three months ago Dr. Ansher and the rest of his staff are no longer seeing/accepting patients who have secondary insurance. Trying to get your medical records sent to you or elsewhere is a challenge, you have to fill out an online form and write a check for $15 to cover their postage/handling (the only exception to the fee is if you are seeing a new specialist or primary doctor). You also have to allow 15 days for them to look everything over and send the records, which would not have worked for me due to having an appointment with a new specialist within a week, thankfully my primary doctor was able to straighten that out. I finally have a diagnosis after seeing the new specialist who took the time to investigate everything, both my primary doctor and I wish he had referred us there rather than to Dr. Ansher.

I agree with all the comments about this doctor except for that negative one. Just because Dr Ansher does not except medicare, she decided to give this doctor such a negative rating (Don't blame the doctor, blame the party that you voted for in 2008!). Dr Ansher is very knowledgeable, very polite, he listens, he cares for his patients!

Very inconsiderate doctor! I went into an appointment today and the office receptionist told me Dr. Anscher could not see me because he was no longer taking Medicare. Since they had not called me, I asked for an exception because I needed help.Dr Anscher was asked and he refused to see me. I had to wait an hour to get my records. The appointment before, Dr. Anscher did not show up since he was on vacation. Had to see his nurse. This is a doctor who has lost his commitment to patients. His office is also very inconsiderate and arrogant. Avoid him!

Makes you feel comfortable. Was thorough, but neither he nor my Primary solved my issue, even though the answer was on the blood work. I was anemic and once I started taking Iron, my problem left. He's good and I'd go to him again. He's very busy. Hard to get appointment.

One of the most careful physicians I've encountered. Very focused on both the patient and the problem; quite open to questions and good with explanations. I'd trust him with my life.
