I was told I couldn't be his patient anymore because I questioned a practice they did in their office as whether it was really necessary. He is not a very personable physician at all. Definitely would not recommend this physician to anyone.

I had a great experience with a wonderful staff and doctor, with great results

I've only been in the office once, just before COVID-19 shut everything down. My experience there was very good. The staff was wonderful, they were very friendly and helpful. They were even a bit short handed that day and still, they couldn't have been better. His is a busy office and I didn't feel the wait was long at all. I may not have been seen at exactly the time of my appointment but having worked in a dermatology office years ago, I understand that each patient is different and takes more or less time. I'd had a spot on my eye for years that just hasn't gone away and both Dr. Schlessinger and his PA were able to identify it quickly. They suggested a non-invasive treatment first to avoid any extra discomfort unless it becomes necessary. After having some treatments done elsewhere that were overly aggressive, I very much appreciate taking a more cautious approach to begin with. I recently had a telemedicine appointment and he and the staff were every bit as helpful and professional. It was the first appointment I've had this way and they made it super easy and accessible. Even for that, they were on schedule, friendly and helpful. I'll return to Dr. Schlessinger's office as long as he continues practicing.

I’ve had psoriasis most of my life. Every dermatologist I had been to seemed to only see me has having dry skin, gave me the first cream or medicine they could think of and got me out of their office as soon as possible. Psoriasis is an auto-immune disease that impacts much more than your skin. Dr. Schlessinger was the first to really care and understand how my psoriasis was impacting my quality of life. He talked through different treatments, benefits, risks, and we decided on a plan that would work for me. I just went in for my three month follow-up. One of the lovey nurses asked me how my spots were and I said “What spots?” 😊 I’m almost 99% clear and my psoriatic arthritis symptoms are almost not existent. The staff at Skin Specialists were genuinely happy for me. Dr. Schlessinger even gave me a high five. It’s great to finally have an amazing team backing me up and helping with my psoriasis. Thank you Dr. S for changing my life

The staff is alway very kind and extremely helpful. I have never had to wait very long for my appointments and feel that they spend a lot of time with me during my appointments. Dr. Schlessinger diagnosed and successfully treated my skin issues that other doctors had not been able to.

“Pass it on…”
In 2013 my daughter told me she went to the Skin Specialists to have a few moles removed. She was very impressed with the friendly and professional atmosphere she encountered. She also encouraged me to make an appointment. Well, I did make an appointment and I was also impressed with the friendly and professional atmosphere. More importantly, I had a few moles removed and I was surprised one was a melanoma. It was caught early and additional treatment was not needed. As I recall I went back every 3 months for a short while and now every 6 months. I look forward to seeing Dr. Joel Schlessinger and his staff twice a year. If my daughter had not decided to ‘Pass it on…’ to me who knows if I would be here today. Like my daughter, I too want to: ‘Pass it on…’

I have been a patient of Dr. S for over 13 years. He and his staff are absolutely the best! I go twice a year for facial touchups and leave each and every time looking and feeling revitalized. Dr. S. takes his time to discuss any concerns I might have and makes recommendations that are best suited for my individual needs. His assistants are beyond kind and gentle. Seriously, if you are looking for a top notch physician for dermatology or cosmetic procedures, look NO farther.

Dr. Schlessinger's office staff is friendly and competent in scheduling an appointment in a timely manner and checking you in upon arrival. Doctor's staff are friendly, explaining procedures and answering questions. Doctor Schlessinger answers all my questions and treats me like I am his only patient at that time. Dr. Schlessinger and Jackie Hall are AMAZING!!!! And it all starts with the courteous receptionist when I first walk in for my appointment, each and every member of the Lovely Skin staff presented themselves in a positive, professional manner. Yet, the staff makes you feel so welcome and happy. I also appreciate the cleanliness of the waiting room and exam rooms. It’s so easy to clearly see that they truly care about my well-being. Skin problems are embarrassing but they have NEVER made me feel ashamed or embarrassed. I have referred numerous people to Lovely Skin and have only heard positive feedback from each one. So what are you waiting for? Stop worrying and start feeling confident about how you look!!! Honestly, highest quality care. The only regret you'll have, is not calling for an appointment sooner! :)

I am very satisfied with the quality of their service . The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Dr. Schlessinger listens to my concerns and has prescribed the right products/medications for my skin type. I also love their lovely skin luxe products.
