I am going to tell you a story. I am from Freeport,ny. I don’t live there anymore. I moved , got married and had kids of my own.When I was young me and my sisters were patients of this dr.. When I was a 5 or 7 I became sick. I was running a temperature,. My stomach hurt. I was not well at all. My mom took me to see this dr. He examined me and sent me home saying I had a cold and prescribed me meds. I went home but got worse. I had trouble breathing. My stomach started to swell. My dad came home. Said something is not right with me. He saw me struggling to breath. My temperature was thru the roof. He knew something was wrong. He called this dr and told him my symptoms. The dr stated that my dad needed to take me to the hospital immediately. They examined me and told my parents my appendix had ruptured and they would need to perform emergency surgery on me to save my life. They immediately put tubes in my nose while I was awake. They were in a race to save my life. I survived but if not for my dad, I would have died in my sleep. This was many years ago and I should have sued the living daylights out of this man and if I could now, I would. I live with this large scar on the bottom right corner of my stomach. This man should have lost his license. My parents stuck with him since he was always a “nice dr”But knowing what I know now-nice doesn’t cut it. Especially when someone life is involved. I have children of my own now and if a dr was a careless as this man was to me, I could not be so forgiving. I have decided to write this as every now and then I am reminded of that experience. No one should just settle for a nice dr. But for a qualified dr. I hope this experience helps someone else.

I took my son to Dr. Ageloff because he had been complaining of leg pain upon waking for some time. Earlier on the morning of his appt, he awoke feeling warm. I took his temp with the plastic strip thermometer, and it read above normal. Knowing I was taking him to his doctor later, I decided to wait for his reading. When I told the doctor about his temp, for some reason, he asked what thermometer I used. I told him the plastic strip and he abruptly told me they were not at all accurate. He proceeded with the leg exam, told me my son needed more exercise and left the room without taking his temperature! When we got home, I put my son down for his nap and when he woke up, his temp was even higher, so much so, I could tell just by using my hand! Turns out he had a 102 degree fever and was sick for a week. Although the plastic strip thermometer is far from accurate, it can tell you if a child's temp is ABOVE NORMAL and it is much more accurate than NO THERMOMETER AT ALL! Never went back!

i have been using dr andy for 24 years and he is nothing but the best..the office has changed over the years but they always show respect and help you when your child is sick...best pediatricians to use when you are a new mother

I have been bringing my children here for over 13 years. This is the most caring, knowledge doctor I have ever encountered His staff is very friendly and helpful.
