am a professional who works in the healthcare field. This man should be and will be reported for his verbal abuse and his insurance fraud. He told ortho NY that he does pain pump installation. He stated, “ I will determine that.” I then trusted him and endured 17 injections in about two months which landed me in the hospital. After being medically evaluated and admitted into hospital for three days I was then scheduled to see this quack.
He was upset because I ended up in the hospital which now today I can say is a FACT. When I came back he stated, “you don’t have pain issues or problem.”
If you reading this ask yourself this: I don’t have pain issues but you did 17 injections billing my insurance company then therefore you should be investigated for insurance fraud!!! I was there three times a week four hours each time for two months. Looking back that is absolutely crazy!!!

Lastly you have front desk women and another man acting as nurses who aren’t registered.

Oh and the he told me I don’t do pain pumps installation which he lied to my pain doctor from Ortho.

This man should be investigated.

So in this past year I have been going to Dr. kodsi at total care who is awesome. I am able to walk and have 2.5 months of pain free with his methods of cervical and lumbar Botox Injections to address my dystonia and some additional lidocaine and corotosone injections.

Dr. Kaplan is unique. Yes, you will wait. However, he is the only physician I have ever been to that allows you to come in when you are experiencing pain at its worst. You don't have to wait until your next appointment. That means everything when you are hurting. 0His bedside...he is very confident and knows which questions he needs answered in order to treat you. He may seem ubrupt, but as he told me, "I have one hundred questions and one hundred patients. I don't have one hundred hours". He never gives up trying to find relief for his patient. Over 30 years I have been to several neurologists who "ran out of ideas" and two pain management "specialists" one of whom got me hooked on Opana. My headaches never got any better but I guess the opiods made me care less. Dr. Kaplan is very good at what he does. He just takes a little getting used to.

Dr. has the "I went to school for a couple more years then you" attitude. Doesnt want to listen to what you say, only asks questions in which he wants 1 work answers to. He told me he doesnt need to hear my story, just needs to ask these questions. Very rude and would not recommend.

I went to see "Dr" Kaplan for over a year. He is the worst excuse for a human being that I have ever encountered! I repeatedly asked him for help with my nerve pain in my thoracic but he chose to ignore me and told me my pain wasn't where I said it was. I asked for new testing/imaging to be done and I was told "there is no point in taking stabs in the dark." This man tried to tell me that the nerves work upward in the body and that is not true at all, the nerves work downwards. He told me that all my pain came from my lumbar but I had no pain or issues there. He would mock me at every visit and ask "what theories" I had for him during this visit. I was finally able to get free from his office and found a real doctor, one that actually gave me the proper testing and found the source for my pain which was located in my thoracic.

I wouldn't give them any stars if I could... DO NOT go to this Doctor.. If he can't give you steroids shots then the want nothing to do with you.. 2 of the 3 nurses are very rude!!! Lisa is nice ( however she is new) poor thing!! And the doctor will insist on steroid shots and if you do not want them then the staff will not schedule a med check apt. Oh by the way their lack ok compassion is exactly what I think Dr. Kaplan wants them to do... Do not waste your time or money..

Every appointment I have had with Dr. Eugene Kaplan has been a wait for almost 2 hours. He has no bedside manner. His method of treatment is a pain injection for everything. He leaves the room when he should have been with me. He's off to another room to do an injection. Then comes back and spends most of his time looking at the computer and typing. Then he has sit on the table and he exams you for 2 minutes. And goes back to his computer and tells you that you need another injection. I will never go back to him again.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS LAST A LIFETIME, my 1st apt was Friday @ 10:45, told to be there early so I arrived at 10:15. I was informed by the staff that the computers were down so it would be "awhile". So I sat and waited, waited and sat, all the while seeing other patients flowing in and having their appts cancelled and told they would get a call to reschedule, some were given to option to "wait it out". All this time I was thinking that Dr. Kaplan was actually in the office, perhaps trying to FIX this issue with the computers? NOPE, HE STROLLS IN WITH HIS WIFE A BIT AFTER NOON (12pm) ARE YOU SERIOUS? AND WITH THEIR NOSES UP IN THE AIR? After another few minutes a staff member walked pasted my mother and I in the waiting room and we inquired on whether or not he was going to see me. This WOMAN LAUGHED & SAID "probably not the computers are down"!! I AM A BRAND NEW PATIENT, ALL MY RECORDS WERE FAXED AND EVERYTHING WAS IN MY HANDS SO THEY COULD NOT CLAIM "OH WE DIDN'T GET THAT"!! ABSOULTELY DISGUSTED, MY TIME IS JUST AS IMPORTANT AS YOURS! THESE DOCTORS DID NOT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE THAT WE WERE THERE WAITING ON THEM FOR EONS, NOR DID THEY EVEN WANT TO CONSIDER SEEING ME WITH OUT A COMPUTER? WHAT DID THEY DO WHEN COMPUTERS WEREN'T COMMONPLACE IN DOCTORS OFFICES? EXCUSES EXCUSES! I was then told by the receptionist that she would call me to reschedule (not that I would ever go back there) but low and behold, it is now Tuesday evening and I haven't heard a word from them! I used to say that you can believe everything you read on the internet, I take that back, many sites feature negative reviews on Dr Kaplan, YOU ARE ALL RIGHT! DISGUSTED

Same experience as another person. I had a 9am appointment and he didn't show up until 10am. While waiting, I found out 8 other patients there all had a 9am appointment with him. Always a long wait--very stressful.

This doctor is never on time. I don't mean backed up with patients, I mean I have the first appointment of the day and the man is never here without being over an hour late. It's infuriating enough to want to find another doctor. The other staff and DO are great.

Excellent experience, including both the front office staff and Jeff, the PA, who were very friendly and informative. Dr. Kaplan gave me a great amount of time and carefully and clearly diagnosed my problems. He set up a convenient treatment plan and was clear in all his discussions. Highly recommended.
