My initial lower back fusion and laminectomy went well. The problem came in when I went back for help a couple years later. I could barely walk and was using a cane. She told me she would not help me because I gained weight. I tried to explain I spent 8 months in a wheel chair but she refused to listen to me, said she'd couldn't help me and basically walked away. I have never been so hurt by a doctor before. She's a great surgeon, but I'd never go back to her. Her ego just got in the way.

Dr. Faroohar is the best! I was having terrible lower back pain for months, and she determined a laminotomy / discectomy was my best option. The best decision I could have made! I felt better immediately and was up and walking the same day. The staff is top notch - very thorough, accommodating, and friendly. They realized I was in pain and they fit me into surgery within a few weeks. Thank you Dr. Faroohar!

I had neck fusion surgery with Dr. Foroohar last year after seeing 2 other neurosurgeons each on 3 separate occasions. I had already done the MRIs and physical therapy for severe spinal stenosis but I did not have confidence in the other surgeons until I met Dr Foroohar who had to see me personally on 3 occasions prior to surgery to make sure I was ready for the procedure. She was never rushed and even let me bring in my wife in spite of covid for the final consultation so that my wife was confident as well. After the successful neck surgery Dr Foroohar had me come in at least 6 times for x rays to check on the healing process. I am not sure what the reviewer below from Oct 4th is talking about when he or she says Dr. Foroohar is finished with you after you have surgery. That could not be further from the truth. My results were so impressive that I asked Dr Foroohar to do my right hand carpal tunnel because I had so much confidence in her ability to do it right. Dr. Foroohar is a great neurosurgeon who is personally involved in every one of her cases and she is always available if you have any problems or questions. She has a calm, caring way about her that makes you feel very safe and secure. If I had one surgery that my life depended on Dr Foroohar would be the surgeon to do it.

Dr Foroohar is everything you expect in a spine doctor and more. She is very professional and personable. My surgery went better than I expected because of her expertise. I can do more now than I could before my surgery.

My mother in her 80's and I in my 50's both had back surgery about a year apart. We both had great experiences with Dr. Foroohar and her staff. We were up walking the same day of surgery, and by a week or two, no pain at all. We both have recommended Dr. Foroohar to many others suffering from back pain. We only wish we had done it sooner. No pain, no regrets! Much higher quality if life.

I was very pleasantly received by Dr. Foroohar and her staff. Dr. Foroohar was very professional and concerned about the issue of back and leg pain. She was excellent at explaining in detail the problem I had and how she and her team could relieve my worsening pain. From the first office visit to the most recent visit and all hospital time, Dr. Foroohar ,her associates and office staff have been a great help. Dr. Foroohar performed my cervical spine fusion. My neck is much improved after only 4 months, and the scar is almost nonexistent already. A plastic surgeon couldn’t have done better. She is professional, thorough, kind, takes time to listen to every concern and addresses them all. I would recommend her to my family and friends, and I will use her again in future for my lumbar problems. The efficient office staff makes everything easy. I feel very fortunate to have found her.

Dr. Foroohar combines excellent credentials with gifted skill, clear communication and a calming bedside manner. I am a 64 y/o female w/ cervical spinal stenosis and degenerative disc disease. Dr. Foroohar’s approach is conservative and she has operated on me twice: 2010 - C5/6 and C6/7 were bone on bone and 2017 - a large osteophyte complex created cord compression at C4/5. Both surgeries - one elective and the other an emergency - had excellent outcomes. I was at Northwest Community Hospital overnight as an outpatient each time and never needed pain meds after discharge.
