I am so grateful for the help Dr. King and his staff gives my severely mentally ill son. My son was diagnosed at the age of 25 with schizophrenia. I paid for private doctors until I could no longer afford it and he became so I'll he needed an entire team to care for him. There are many psychiatric doctors who start ignoring patients when they actually require help. They ignore patients because they are not allowed to "dump" mentally patients. When things become difficult Dr. King and his staff step up. I am sure my son would be dead if it were not for Dr. King.

BEWARE of this doctor. He will abandon you at the drop of a hat, regardless of whether you have been seeing him 1 week of 10 years!!!He only cares about himself. He became a psychiatrist for the hours and pay - he has no other motivations. Please don't let him hurt you too.

Dr. King saved my life six years ago and I thought we had a special connection. Now he has left his private practice without offering referrals to other Docs. This was very hurtful!

I was in North Carolina for 3 months. Knew I'd need medications before moving out of state. Two appointments cancelled last minute. When I did get in, he just talked about his new baby and his problems. I had some medicaion left over, so waited a couple of weeks to try and fill in California. Because out of state, the drugstore called the office and was told I'd already filled the Rx. I had to try and find a new doctor the first day of being in my new city. Worst psychiatric practice I've ever been to. The man is so in love with himself and one of the secretaries very unhelpful and rude. Maybe because they've never been out of NC and don't know what they're doing.

I have been seeing Dr. King for 3 years. With out him I would not be here now. He and all staff have been very helpful to me,very easy to talk to and get appt. He and his Therapist have 24 hour number 7 days a week. If you have a problem he is who you want to see.Thanks RL Wilmington,NC

Fantastic. Dr. King helped me with major depression and attention deficit. Knowledgeable, positive, supportive. Listens to what you have to say. I wish I could find another Dr. like him in my home state!
