We found Dr. Lavelle to be very knowledgeable, friendly, willing to help in any way he could. He listened carefully to any concerns and questions before giving a thoughtful and understandable response. His nurse was also professional and kind. The chemo nurses were very compassionate and caring to work with.

I was referred to Dr Lavelle for a blood disorder in March 2008. I am very pleased with the punctuality of the office and Dr. Lavelle is great! He takes plenty of time to explain things to you and answer all your questions. He even gave me suggestions as to how to convince my sister to get tested since I inherited my blood disorder from my mother. Even though my mother has had this condition for years, I was able share information with her about the disease that she did not know because of all the valuable knowledge Dr Lavelle has given me. There is also an on-site lab at his office. The lab staff is prompt, friendly and painless with the needles. I highly reccommend Dr Lavelle.

As a lung cancer patient it is important to know you are working as a team with the dr. and staff.Recently I am having new symptoms,my primary care Dr. called Dr.Lavelles office stating I needed my cat-scan now,it could'nt wait until the scheduled time in July.My pulmonary doctor agreed,I never recieved a call.I have all my tests done at the cancer center.Today 5-28-08 I called, got voice mail as usual, left a detailed message.I still am waiting. It is very unfortunate to have to leave a great doctor because his personel staff are rude,do not return calls and make you feel your problem is insignificant and not worthy enough to make an appt. to see him.I realize they are busy but so am I and also very scared.Without a support team with your doctor and his staff, cancer becomes even more terrifying and made to feel alone, afraid and empty.
