When asking Dr. Bhatt about potential alternative treatments besides pain-killers or surgery for my symptoms, including chiropractic or acupuncture treatments, he made the following analogy: Going to a chiropractor would be like going to a witch-doctor, better off spending your money elsewhere because you won't get anything out of it. If it weren't for a chiropractor my father would not be standing straight, if it weren't for a chiropractor, i would have had severe migraines since i was 14. And by the way, i have gotten relief from my symptoms from a chiropractor and it didn't include surgery or sticking needles into my spine! Consideration of all options before painful procedures is a must, ruling out entire branches of medicine because some people say 'there is no medical evidence it works' is Bull. There is an entire chiropractic college within 5 miles of you practice (they also teach acupuncture there)! Try meeting one and getting the real facts. Will not be returning.
