My husband and I moved to Crossville 3 years ago. We went to Dr. Lively with the purpose of establishing a doctor. She was thorough, receptive and appeared to be a good doctor for both of us. Afterwards I ended up in the hospital with serous gall bladder problems. The doctors in the emergency ward suggested I have surgery immediately. I wanted to talk to Lively for a second opinion. I called Lively's office probably 2 dozen times and kept getting an answering machine. No one ever returned my emergency request for a return call. The receptionist said that I could make an appointment but would have to wait two weeks to see Lively. I explained that this was an emergency and the receptionist would forward my call to Lively's nurse's answering machine. I was very sick and needed to see doctor. I asked that my records be sent to another doctor so I could take care of the gall bladder problem. A year later I requested to see Lively for unrelated issues. The receptionist said that Lively put a note on my file saying she refused to see me because I'd had my records transferred elsewhere. Keep in mind, I'd only had one previous appointment/medical examination with Lively prior to all of this.

Dr. Lively is among the best doctors I've ever used. I find her honest, caring and well educated in her field. I wish I could find her. She has moved from her former office and I don't know where she is.

Dr Lively is very caring, helpful, reasonable, thorough and capable. She is happy to discuss diagnosis, treatment options and details of health issues rather than hand you a script and run. She not only takes the time to listen to and address your concerns (even if you have multiple issues), but also brings up health issues she is concerned about on your behalf (additional time spent caring for you). She is great with infants and children as well as adults. You will not find yourself brushed off, nor over diagnosed. Wait times can be long and the current staff seems to be in transition, but Dr Lively's care is well worth the inconveniences they present. My family and myself have been under her care for almost 3 years and anticipate remaining with her for many more! Overall, a fantastic family physician!

You couldn't find better. Also, so wonderful as this is a rural area, and unfortunately there are not many doctors (good or bad, in some specialties) available. A one of a kind, intelligent, personable, lady. Oh, and she's a great doctor too!I believe she is in one of the most challenging medical fields to be in. How would specialists get their patients? (especially with insurance). Dr. Lively said she will be moving soon. Sometime in June 2008. She will be moving to Crossville, TN which is further west on I-40. She needs to be able to spend more time attending to her patients in her office, than being called away all of the time. That is why she is moving. Because she is so needed. She has been knowledgeable, kind, smart, funny, did I mention patient? She will let you know if she needs to do extra research on something if she is not sure of all of the information. How many other doctors admit that they are human beings? She has been my Doctor for? 10 years? I wouldn't want another!
