In retrospect Dr. Murphy was my short term urologist recommended by my primary care physician. Dr. Murphy's method was already becoming outdated by digital technology. She had also other interests like running and coming very late for medical appointments. Patients in the waiting room kept drinking water and reading magazines. Many were complaining that they were running late for their next medical appointment, three or four hours after Dr. Murphy. I am glad to find a new lady urologist Dr. Murphy has retired and msybe enjoying a new and different career. She really must try other professions.

She will make you wait hours and will make you come to extra appointments, but never give you a clear diagnose you or tell you the problem. I would wait and hour and half to 2 hours for the appointment, get put in a room for another half hour, and then receive minimal care.
She performed a very painful procedure on me without giving me any prior information on it or the necessary pain medication. She signed the form approving the procedure and never gave it to me to sign or the background information paper. She is a doctor from hell.
I went to another urologist and they helped fix me up in 3 visits, whereas at her office she kept trying to get to to pay for procedures I did not need, after 6 visits I didn't even have any prognosis and was getting worse.
When I asked my new urologist about the procedures Ms. Murphy wanted me to have she said she has no idea why Ms. Murphy would do those procedures that they were unnecessary. She also tried to put me on a very limiting diet that turned out to have nothing to do with my condition, she just wanted to make it seem like she was giving me medical attention so I would come back again. She's the worst most uncaring physician I have ever been to. You're literally in better hands any where else.

I have never waited less than two hours (after my appt. time) to see her although I usually arrive 15-60 minutes before my appt. time. The staff is beyond rude and this doctor shows absolutely no care for the patient. An android would show more genuine concern. After waiting for two hours to be called into the exam room (post surgery), I waited another hour for her to come in just to remove a cathether (post surgery). About 45 minutes into the wait I stepped out of the room to ask her staff where she was and they looked at me like I had some nerve asking and said "she's talking to doctors on the phone". So what, I have an appt. Don't most doctors schedule their phone conferences with other doctors into their day. She came in about 15 min. later, clipped the cathether to break the suction and was out of there in less than 2 minutes. She didn't even ask how I was feeling or take a look at the stitches. She does not manage her time well and has no respect for the patient's time.

This doctor, while knowledgable, is very arrogant. My situation warranted a specialist in kidney stones due to its complexity. She had me on a schedule to drag the resolution of my problem out for about 3 mos, most of the time with a kidney stent. Another doctor, known for his ability in this area, did the procedure a week later and the issue was resolved entirely. I wrote a letter to Dr. Murphy about this and the fact that she prescribed an RX that should not be taken long term. As far as the latter topic, she stated that she'd rather have me on an RX that could potentially turn my eyeballs orange than on a narcotic! The other doctor provided me with a non-narcotic and mentioned that there were many others available that do the same things as the RX that can produce the orange effect.Dr. Murphy thinks she walks on water, unfortunately. If she were more in touch with her limitations she would certainly have the ability to grow as a doctor and, of course, betetr serve her patients.

She is one of the best I ever had, because actually many doctors just ignore to do any tests on you and just give you antibiotics. Of course you have to wait for like 3 hours to see her only for 5-10 minutes, but let me tell you, JUST DO NOT BE SHY TO ASK QUESTIONS. She answers them. Fast. If it is too fast, ask her again. She will explain again. I think she is a good doctor and loves what she does.

After seeing her 3 or 4 times (waiting hours of course like everyone else) and 3 procedures done (she loves to order procedures) i came to the conclusion that she is mentally unqualified to be a Dr. - she has high intelligence but I felt she was a little left of center -I won't get into it all but on a humorus note they mixed my urine sample up with someone else (luckily i caught it)
