rude staff, dirty office. Old office not taken care of and he is a liar. I have permanent nerve damage and horrific pain. On pain meds the rest of my life because of him! Do NOT let him use the INFUSE bioengineered fake bone growth protein. It causes pain, cancer, and more! I am in a living nightmare because of this incompetent fool

if you are in pain and have to wait for his staff or office to call you good luck. your lucky if they email you a week later! oh and if your elderly your supposed to look on your computer? the emails mostly go into junk, Unsupervised neglect . He is a good doctor but unfortunately is either too busy and or his staff is absolutely terrible

Dr Shahid is one doctor that I would recommend to friends and family. Like other's review he listens, is sympathetic and make you feel that you are the most important person. He goes that extra mile for many patients that I have spoken to. Glad I went to him and no other doctor!

Five years ago my wife was diagnosed with a spinal cord compression and was referred to Dr Shahid. She never experienced pain but would hesitate a moment to walk after sitting for prolonged periods. Dr S advised us that surgery was needed to remove the compression, that it was routine and 'something he did all the time.' He told my wife that she would be in the hospital 2-4 days and back to work in a month. We walked into Danbury Hospital confident that we chose the right surgeon. It turned out that the surgery was anything but routine and should have been stopped when it became clear that an incorrect approach had been taken. My wife has not walked since and today lives in constant pain. Her hospital stay lasted nearly 4 months and required 2 more surgeries to mend mistakes made during the original surgery. A CT-scan would have revealed in detail the complications that were highlighted in the radiologist's MRI report, but was never ordered; nor were alternative approaches discussed.

Dr.Shahid performed back surgery on me over 5 years ago. When I went in I was in unbelievable pain and was completely incapacitated (surgery was done in my early 20's and I was a collegiate athlete, so the pain was a 10 on a 10 scale). I woke up the next day with no pain and have remained that way til this day. Phenominal surgeon, great demeanor...5 out of 5

I feel this is the best neurosurgeon in Litchfield County. He saved my daughter's life with a timely surgery on a small ganglioglioma she had on her cerebellum! We were so frightened and he reassured us, and my daughter's hospital stay and recovery was uneventful. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
