Dr. Martin is one of the finest Drs. I've ever known & that has operated on me. Dr. Martin fused S1-L5 in 2011. He did an excellent job & I am still happy with him & my surgery after all these years. Great bedside manner, down to Earth & a very humble man.

Doctor Martin was great. He explained the procedures to us in terms we could understand (before and after the operations). He was patient with our many questions and never rushed us. Results of the operations were successful. Without question, I would recommend Dr.Martin to other patients.

I had a laminectomy. The doctors, nursing and staff treated me and my family member like we were their family. Informed and reassured us of all procedures before and after my surgery. I would never go anywhere else for my back surgery. I have recommended this facility to my family and friends. Not only was my surgery sucessful, but also my recovery.

Dr Martin has been not just a great surgeon/physician, but also a great support. I did not have good expectations when I first went to the clinic (just got out from four unsuccessful major surgeries). He was confident, he talked the truth about my diagnoses and was very helpful throughout the whole process. He did not rely on medication as many doctors do, he performed a 6 hrs surgery supported by a wonderful staff. Debbie, the O.R Nurse was available post surgery for any question or need. Surgery was a success and I am now running, exercising, biking and that horrendous pain I had for five years is gone.

I had a C5 C6 C6 C7 disc replacement. I initially had a microdiscectomy from the posterior a year-and-a-half ago. All of the herniated material wasn't reachable in that surgery but I did get some relief. With continued symptoms I chose to go ahead and have the disc replacement that would enable getting to the rest of the herniated material that was still pushing on my nerves. I did like my first doctor, dr. Lieberman, also from Phoenix spine. He focuses more from the posterior approach and this current surgery and disc replacement was by dr. Martin at the same practice. My best impression of Dr. Martin was his patience and willingness to teach describe and share about the procedures and neck related issues and my symptoms etcetera. I have had surgeries for knee injuries and so forth. I feel I had the best explanations and patient descriptions of my symptoms and potential solutions from dr. Martin than from any other doctor I have ever dealt with. He has a genuine bedside manner. That definitely helped my decision to continue with Phoenix spine and choose Doctor Martin. I am post-op one week at this point and I am hopeful for good recovery and healing of nerves.

My surgeries seemed complicated to me but the Dr. knew what he was doing and from my viewpoint all seemed to go well. I was surprised myself that I was able to get up and walk right away and the pain was minor.I did not ask for pain meds and even refused some as I did not need them. I would recommend the Dr.because he knew as soon as he saw the CT scan what my problem was and how to correct it. The staff worked together to get me to surgery ASAP and I do appreciate that.

The entire staff at Phx Spine is very professional and courteous. I was operated on 2 times in October and was extremely confident in the nursing staff, assistants, and especially Dr. Martin I was in contact with my Spine Specialist, several times to get X-rays and MRIs scheduled. She helped immensely each time I contacted her by phone or by email. Overall, I have mentioned to several people about how I was very impressed by my entire experience with Phoenix Spine.

Years of pain, discomfort, four major surgeries, uncountable MRIs, X-Rays, CT-Scans, several medical procedures: spinal injections, useless medication, sleepless nights, tears...I wonder how many persons are going through the same thing. I came to see Dr Martin obviously skeptical and hopeless. My quality of life was literally zero. I found an outstanding doctor and most important finally a doctor who relates to the patient and his issue with empathy and great knowledge. We looked together at the images of my messed up lower back for over 40 minutes. He explained my issue, my options, and most of all he explained how a surgery would have adjusted my back. His confidence really made me feel good. I thought 'I will get better'. It seemed to me that Dr Martin was taking my case (as I assume all his cases) as a challenge for the both of us: for me to give me hope and for him to accomplish a success through his gift and talent. And we did it. I can get out of bed in the morning with no problems, I exercise, I do not take medications, and I am pain free. Dr Martin and his staff are always there to help, after surgery we were constantly in touch. They will not let go and so did I.
