My entire family has been with Dr. Jennifer Maitra and her husband Dr. Subhasis Maitra for about 8 years. They are wonderful about getting us in quickly if needed, and even have evening appointments. Their Physician's Assistant is knowledgeable and has a great manner. Both Dr. Jennifer and Dr. Subhasis take the time to visit with us and answer any questions we have. Waiting room time is pretty short, and their nurses are really good with my kids. We have had a few minor issues with referrals, but otherwise their support staff is pretty good.

Been seeing Dr. Maitra for years until recently. She is a good doctor and very knowledgeable. I've also seen her husband Dr. Subhasis Maitra and he is excellent. I left because Sunny Medical/Pediatrics has an incompetent staff. You will not get a live person when you call. They've sent me to the wrong lab (twice!). They've coded my annual visits incorrectly and I ended up paying more. It took them more than 3 weeks to fax my records to my new doctor. And that was after I left a nasty message.

The moment Dr. Maitra found out that we do not vaccinate for everything, her entire demeanor changed. She became very confrontational and even a little rude. She does not approve of our stance on vaccines, our choice to exclusively breastfeed our 12 month old without supplementing with iron, or that I still breastfeed him on demand through the night. It was clear that she cares about her patients, but it was also clear that unless those patients agree with all of her points of view, she thinks we're incompetent. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

Dr. Maitra is always friendly and kind. She takes time to answer any questions a have about my child's health, and my child loves her. Additionally, I called their office (she and her husband share an office. He does peds and internal medicine) one time in the middle of the night with symptoms of pneumonia. She took me very seriously, called in a prescription to get me through the night and scheduled and appt for early the next morning. I did have nneumonia (confirmed my xray) and was so grateful she took my symptoms seriously. That being said, I DO NOT like the ladies that staff the front desk. They are rude. The MAs/nurses are great, though:)

Dr. Maitra has a very friendly demeanor and seems to be very knowledgeable. My daughter loved her. She gets me in within two days of a call.
