This office made false statements, three times. I directly asked if the doctor i was scheduled to see, 1st visit, was in network with my insurance. They assured me, 3 times. It turned out a flat lie. So i was billed a large sum as out-of network visit.
They billed me for 60 min doctor exam. It was, in fact, 15 min. Shamelessly overcharged

This office is a scam. Do not go there!!!! They collect upfront fees even if you have two insurance companies before you can see the doctor and then they never refund you after the insurance pays. Their customer service is horrible and the Doctor's don't care. Awful, unethical, and down right thieves!!!!

I wish there were more stars to rate Rheumatology Therapeutics Medical Center because they provided such excellent service. My uncle had been suffering from CRPS for quite a while, but after Dr. Ratiner treated him, he is doing great now.

I had an amazing experience as a first-time visitor and would recommend this medical clinic to anyone. Everyone I interacted with - from the staff to the doctors - was extremely polite and helpful. Dr. Ratiner took the time to explain my issues and treatment plan.

Dr. Ratiner's massage treatments at Rheumatology Therapeutics Medical Center not only refreshes my body but also leaves me pain-free from the severe muscle pains, knots, and aching joints I experience from working out on a daily basis.

I took my wife to Dr. Ratiner in 2020 and he recommended six iron infusions after a blood test showing that she was low in blood iron. But, as I learned later, blood iron can be misleading and the most accurate test for iron deficiency is ferritin, which in her case was so high that it is considered toxic and efforts should begin to remove it. According to Mosby's manual of tests, known to all doctors, four test should have been made to test for iron deficiency, but Dr. Ratiner did only two and one of these, ferritin, was was high when low blood iron would have made it low. The infusions began on the day after the test, but she died after the fourth infusion. It cannot be proved that the infusions killed her, but she was 92 years old and frail and, as I found out after her death, it is known that frail people can be killed even by normal medical procedures, something that Dr. Ratiner should have known. The Merck Manual, familiar to all physicians, says that iron therapy without seeking the cause of the low blood iron is "poor practice". Dr. Ratiner made no such effort to find the cause. To add insult to injury, he told me that, since my wife was on hospice, Medicare would not pay for the infusions and that I would have to pay him the full amount in advance, which I did. I later found out that he had billed Medicare and been reimbursed by them. When I asked him to refund the difference, he refused.

Dr Ratiner is a very smart to the point professional. HIS STAFF AND BILLING PROCEDURES ARE THE WORST IVE EVER INCOUNTERED. YOU MUST PAY IN CASH, no checks before they proceed. They only bill your insurance company and keep everything a secret. THIS OFFICE WILL NEVER SEND THE PATIENT A BILL, statement...you never know because the staff will never tell you how much they owe you. I had a few hundred dollar balance do to me, yet I had to pay up front a $20 fee. They owe me money that I overpaid. Again, you are never told. I asked for a bill and invoice. The staff said this office does not submit any paperwork. It's all about money. The billing person is Diane... the rudest person there. Next is softie. The office Mgr. She just promises, but never calls back, hides from your calls. I'm reporting this office to the better business bureau Bob l. 6-8-17

The office is very busy, like a mill. They are all about getting their money up front, from the minute you walk in the door. When I asked the doctor to complete simple paperwork for a workplace accomodation (3 questions) he had his business office rep call me to tell me there would be a $300 charge for this!!! I work in the medical field and this is absolutely outrageous. What kind of caring doctor is this? He is all about money and could care less if his patients are struggling outside his office.
