Great doctor‼️‼️Understanding, compassionate, thorough!

Some staff members reek of cigarette smoke. Doctor has the old boys east coast attitude: Yaah No Problem, Sure will take care of this, Bla, Bla, Bla. After wasting time and money on unnecessary IUIs we were pushed into an expensive IVF procedure. From all the visits we met him only twice. Consulting with other specialists, we were told that in our situation the IUIs wouldn't work anyway - just a waste of precious time and money. This office's IVF was priced on the higher end of these types of service. We found much better specialist although a driving distance away. Not impressed here at all! The office thrives only due to the limited availability of this type of service in Columbia, MO.

We started going to Dr. Wilshire in October of 2019 and by July 2020, we were pregnant! We found out our issues right away and took the necessary steps to improve (MFI). We got our little miracle on our third IUI. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars for the staff is because I absolutely loved some of the nurses/office staff and then felt like a couple of them just treated us more as a number and not a human. Dr. Wilshire is blunt and to the point while throwing some humor in at the same time. Very likeable and friendly guy and never thought he came off as rude or anything. He definitely knows what he’s doing! We couldn’t be happier and we will recommend this office to anyone and everyone!

Words cannot express how thankful my wife and I are to Dr. Wilshire and his entire team (nurses, admin, etc. etc). They were amazing, walking us through the entire IUI process--and since I needed some surgery, it was about a year long. We apologize it took so long for us to post this review, Dr. Wilshire and Team, we just were in such shock that were were so lucky to get pregnant. We just gave birth to our darling daughter this past Friday--thank you for helping us produce the most darling gift in the entire world.

I cannot say enough good things about him and his nurses. The care is full of love and kindess, you can tell they are as dedicated to your goals as you are. Also, the prices are very reasonable! My only complaint was my wife and I lived in Branson and had to travel the 3.5 hours to see them--but we did it, often, due to the amazing-ness of him and his staff.

If I could give negative stars, I would. His answer to everything: lose weight. I had two miscarriages; neither pregnancy was due to any intervention provided by Dr. Wilshire. During the course of a three way call with insurance his nurse made the statement that I was "pregnant for a minute". This is a doctors office that is intended for women struggling to get pregnant. Am obvious lack of bedside manner, training, and care are present. "Pregnant for a minute". What type of person says such a horrible thing? I can only assume that it's a lack of skill or confidence that makes his only recommendation as "lose weight". After a horrendous menstrual cycle that caused me much pain, I went to his office. I had recently lost 40 pounds. His suggestion for my menstrual issues? He shook my hand and told me to keep losing weight, sent me home with a prescription pain killer. While the pain killer is what I needed, I asked what would be next. I was informed that IVF is the next step, but at my current weight it would be a waste of money. Literally, no care or compassion.

My surgery was very successful Dr wilshire and his team were excellent from start to finish, Dr. WILSHIRE MY SUPER HERO , he diagnosed me in the first appointment and he told me about all the treatment options also he advised me with best option and the best time for the treatment , he treated me like I’m the most valuable person on earth and he was so PROFESSIONAL , RESPECTFUL , EXPERIENCED, RELIABLE , so he make things so simple to me , KIM is professional and so sweet because she make you feel you are healthy and there’s nothing to worry about by supporting your emotions with her beautiful smile and explaining all the steps , ”KALSY”” is wonderful person “the front desk girl “ she was verrrrry helpful when I called her , she responded very fast she helped me to find an early appointment which was the most important thing in my life that time and she was so interested to help me to fill the papers and to finish everything to get the appointment , THANK YOU SO MUCH GOD BLESS YOU ALL

Great staff had to go the IVF route after reversing tubes at no prevail (4 rounds) then quit trying
The only thing I don't like is they don't follow up with you or anything to see how you are doing after you quit paying money
7 and a half years later the good Lord gave us a wonderful baby boy with no help from medical field but I also want to thank doc and his staff for my reversal and care when I had my surgery done they definitely helped make it possible to have our angle

I have been treating at this office for a year, but haven't actually seen dr Wilshire in 5 Months. He doesnt come in to any of my visits, I asks questions and they go unanswered, I'm being pushed into IVF. We may go that route but certainly not here.

If I could rate solely on Dr. Wilshire this would be 5 stars. However his front office staff makes this business a 1-2 star business. Deceptive business practices. No answers on the price of services until threatening to cancel appointments (note my going to this doctor is for medical necessity not to get pregnant). Very rude receptionists, office managers/girl in charge of insurance never there to answer questions. I loved seeing Dr. Wilshire and feel he could have done a lot of my health issues but due to his front office staff I will be finding another doctor. Beware- always check your bills, be prepared to pay up front for everything, and be prepared to never get answers from the front desk when you need them.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. After 2 AIs, we conceived & had a miscarriage. While preparing for a 3 AI round, I was told paying for a third IA treatment would be "a waste of my money". We decided to trust our instincts & ignore the self righteous doctor (yes, he is a VERY pompous man). We were blessed with a beautiful baby boy! Regardless of your limited options in Mid-Missouri, GO...RUN to another clinic even if it means a longer drive.
