This guy is an absolute joke to the medical community. My mother was admitted to Frye through the emergency department and, unfortunately, was seen by Weisgerber. She has very poor health, and he was too prideful, to admit he couldn't care for her properly. I had to get patient advocacy involved and the chief medical director stepped in to save my Mom from Weisgerber. He is deplorable and should just hang his coat up and go home to a guilty conscience knowing he is hurting people.

I wish that I read the previous comment, about "..never putting any elderly patients in his path. .. " before my 90 year old Dad got in his path. He did not bother to look at my Dad's severely infected knee less than a week before he had to go to the ER and later that day be admitted for severe infection in both legs (either staff or MRSA). Dr. Weisberger dismissed it as "old age". He is quick to use that diagnosis and prescribe one more prescription, instead of treating the patient.

This doctor has a very bad bedside manner. He is rude and very sarcastic. I would never recommend anyone putting their elderly family member in his path.

Dr. Weisgerber is a hands on doctor. Previous comments have noted the high level of access that patients have to this doctor. Not only is Dave quick and knowledgable, he is a "hands on" Doctor. He takes his own blood samples. I feel very good about a doctor who takes his own samples. He also takes copious notes on his patients and he's easy to get a hold of. He's not "protected" by a bevy of hostile nurses. Very easy to work with - good doctor. I'm keeping him.

Needs to recognize his limitations and not attempt to treat all conditions and diseases without referring patients out to specialists.

I've been with this doctor since the 1980s. On 3 separate occasions of medical crisis he has literally saved my life, going way beyond the call of duty in seeing that i got the crisis care i needed. he is quite competent, but brings a very refreshing non establishment, family twist to his practice. that "old patients- no nurses" review is idiotic.

David has been my physician for over 15 years. Although he is an internal medicine specialist, he does have extensive knowledge in geriatrics, and a large number of elderly patients. At age 58, I am usually the youngest person in the waiting room. I don't understand why another reviewer apparently has a problem with this. David's practice is unusual in that he has a very small office and offers a level of personal attention that is almost unheard of today. David personally does things that might be handled by nurses at a larger practice. This results in much greater opportunity to get to know each other, and for extensive consultation. If you call his office, he is more than likely to answer the phone himself, if he is not actually with another patient. I think David is an excellent doctor. If you are looking for a high level of personal service from a very knowledgeable and experienced doctor, David is your guy.
