In the first week of my diagnosis I was initally referred to a boor of a doctor who loudly stated: "Your treatment is going to be brutal; I wouldn't wish this treatment on my worst enemy!" (Picture fist smacking on hand.) Needless to say I was horrified, and needed to find another oncologist. I called Group Health and did my online research and discovered Dr. Chestnut. Thoughout my treatment and current recovery period she has been a calm, highly knowledgeable port in my storm. She always took the time to answer my many questions. My cancer treatment was close to being as bad as initially described, but having a caring and highly competent doctor made my journey safe. I felt like I was a partner in my care decisions and was always treated with respect.

Oh my. I just can't praise her enough. She is tops. I was terrified on my first visit to an oncologist - who wouldn't be? Now - two years later I actually look forward to my followup visits. She is competent, very knowledgeable, personable and a joy to have in my life. I am blessed to have her as my oncologist - she is a part of a small army from Group Health who saved my life.
