I’m a patient of Doctor Hisler since 2002. My family are also patients and have been very happy for her caring and knowledgeable help.
Dr. Hisler’s diagnosis correctly found the cancerous growth twice on my torso and directed me to competent surgeons to safely have them removed.

Dr Hisler misdiagnosed me with an infected mole instead of a live embedded tick in my back-the next day an urgent care doctor removed the deer tick & tested me for lyme disease-i had a terrible allergic reaction to this tick bite & i am livid over this-I would never recommend this doctor esp since i reached out to her twice over this situation-My insurance carrier is filing a complaint & the ny state department of health is investigating this issue for me.

Dr. Hisler incorrectly diagnosed the most common of all skin diseases -- psoriasis -- through three appointments. She failed to listen carefully to her patient, which would have aided her diagnosis, and she failed to take a standard diagnostic scraping to culture. When she recommended a 4th appointment for a biopsy I went elsewhere and was immediately diagnosed correctly and given correct medication. At the 3rd appointment, Dr. Hisler, who is an Asst Prof of Medicine at Albert Einstein, had a resident in her office who she allowed to look at the rash so he could learn her incorrect diagnosis of the most common skin disease in the U.S. It's frightening when a person in the position of a teacher is that poor in her diagnosis and technique. She had me scared to death that I had cancer when I had a completely harmless and minor problem.

Staff was phenomenal, the dr. on the other hand seemed irked by questions, hesitant to provide information.
