I am following up on my review from Feb 11, 2018. My baby is 9 mos old now, a little precious baby boy! I succeeded eventually, but not with Dr Miller. I proceeded and failed my IVF with Greenwich Fertility. Switched clinic immediately to SHER Fertility NYC, and produced much better quality embryos, also produced more of them, while using less drugs and added Omnitrope. I still have one left on ice. Unfortunately my 2nd FET from IVF with SHER failed as well, did not implant. I was unexplained, as diagnosed by Dr Miller. Subsequently, my doc at SHER (I used Dr Dicken) found several issues. I had endometritis, pre-receptive ERA, and most importantly silent endometriosis. I had laparoscopy to excise endo (with Dr Seckin in NYC), and went on immune protocol after with Braverman Reproductive Long island. Was told it’s implantation failure due to inflammation that results in progesterone resistance in the uterus. Once endometriosis was removed, and I we added prednisone, I got pregnant with my 2nd IUI following endo surgery. IVFs with Greenwich and then SHER only fueled my endometriosis, and diagnosis given by Greenwich Fertiity was just so wrong. Do not lose hope if you’re unexplained. Find the doctors who are actually diagnosing and treating the disorder and don’t just send you down the run of the mill protocols. They do more harm than good. If you are producing eggs in your own, and there are no other diagnosable issues, you must look for a doc who specializes in implantation failure and immune issues. Many REs, including Dr Miller, do not believe immune issues are important. Look into Dr Tortoriello as RE (Covid caused SHER NYC to close, so he must be on his own or with another practice now), and look for a good reproductive immunologist. I used Dr Braverman, but unfortunately he passed away in spring. 2019. His partner Dr. Vidali continues his work and practice. Good luck, and don’t lose hope. It took 3 different practices working together to get me here (Dr Dicken from SHER, Dr Braverman from BRI and Dr Seckin from American Endometriosis Foundation). You may not need IVF, what you need is a diagnosis and treatment of root causes behind your issues. Be your own advocate always, no one else cares, they have their children and are always ready to take your money. Don’t settle for mediocracy, go on forums, learn from other women and follow your gut. God bless and best of luck!
