My family and I have been with Family Practice and Dr. Thompson for close to 10 years now and I have been extremely happy with the service and the doctors personal care. I and my wife and seen other doctors there but Dr. Thompson and Dr. Giacomo are by far the best at the practice. I appreciate Dr. Thompson's bedside manner like his views on healthcare as unfortunate as it is in its present state. My older son has been with the practice since he left his pediatrician and my other two young ones will be there also as long as the firm remains in practice. Telephone calls at the front desk are a bit difficult but the practice has staff that will go the extra mile for you, Jackie in the back is great and all else is phenomenal.

I have been going to Dr.Thompson's office for 10 years now, i used to love Dr.Surak but when she left i began seeing Dr.Thompson. He has no bed side manner and no personality at all. My last couple of visits i saw Dr.Giaconna and like her very much. I will say they run a very nice office, he has a great staff there...very helpful and usually never have to wait long.

The way I found Dr. Thompson was by asking three physician aquaintances in the area who they use as their primary care doctor, and all three said "Dr. Roger Thompson." The comments from the other doctors included "he's thorough, knows his medicine, and is current on medical literature," to "refers to very good specialists when needed." That was good enough for me! My own experience with Dr. Thompson (and I am not a doctor) has been nothing less than that. I have also found his staff to be accomodating, and have even received call-backs from Dr. Thompson following a visit to see how I was doing. What I like best is that he sends you copies of your labwork results to your home with his handwritten comments in the margins. This is good, solid family medicine. Highly recommended!

Dr. Thompson is the most caring doctor I have ever been to. He talkes the time to lister to you and is quite thorough in the tests he orders.

Me and my family have been seeing Dr. Thompson for some time now and I have been looking to change.He has mis-diagnosed my wife twice now, and she flat out refuses to ever see him again.He also seems very distracted and uncaring at times.We will not be seeing him again.

Only good doctor has left the practice. Totally agree with the first reviewer- detached and insensitive. Front desk personnel make life difficult regarding referrals, prescriptions.

he is a good guy- very personal-does what he can to help you-- only neg thing is he does not like to give you any type of pain med.

AMAZING DOCTOR, as well as human being. My family has been seeing Dr. Thompson since he has been in practice, and he has always been a wonderful, compassionate, and brilliant physician. He really cares about his patients, and has gone the extra mile for every single member of my family. His associates are fantastic doctors as well. I can not say enough good things about everyone in his office.
