Personally I found Dr. Patel quit rude. I am trying to be polite with my comments.

Dr. Patel is very knowledgeable and very thorough in his attempt to get to the bottom of what ails you. Yes, he tends to run a bit late, but that's because he is always squeezing people into the schedule if they have an urgent need. I have been that person! No matter how busy he is, if I am sick his office will do everything they can to get me in that day. If something is beyond his level of comfort and expertise, he will refer to another physician and often has his office staff call the other physician's office to make sure you get in to their office as soon as possible too. Yes the office is a stickler for insurance, but look at the area... lots of non-bill-paying deadbeats.

this guy worries more about the insurance payments and probably his rating and kickbacks from BCBS than the patients. avoid if you need any real treatment that may require objective diagnosis and opinion.

Dr. Patel takes his time with patients and is thorough in answering questions. Seeing him feels like a true healthcare partnership.

(Also in Lindenhurst, IL)Dr. Patel is very thorough, takes time to listen and respond to questions, and has a friendly, affable style. He is very easy to talk to. And his staff is simply wonderful -- they're caring, and do what they commit to - whether it be calling back, or getting a chart, or whatever. The only negative on Dr. Patel is that his desire to listen means that by the second patient of the day, he's running late. I've often waited 45 minutes or more past my appointment time.
