Dr Morris refused to dc my opioids, lied on my medical records and failed to cooperate with my other doctors who wanted these drugs stopped. He is nothing more than a drug dealer

I was a patient of his for over two years. Only saw him a couple of times, worked mostly with his assistant Carolyn, but that's par for the course with many specialists. I think perhaps he falls prey to 'Dr. MarcusWelbyism', whereupon some patients expect a never ending reserve of warmth and kindliness. I think that is unrealistic. Most doctors are not that way. Also, those of us that suffer from chronic pain have to be one of the most difficult groups to deal with. You have to weed out the drug seekers and keep the rest of us out of bed and without severe depression. As far as meds, I was on methadone before seeing him, in fact, he told me that I needed to come down on my dosage. So not a 'drug pusher', in my opinion. While I did not agree with everything he recommended, I agreed with the vast majority, and I think that's all you can ask for. He appeared to have years of experience and while he disagreed with some of the most recent research, again, how often do you find the perfect doctor? They are one in a million and they only make you wish you had never had them, because everyone else pales in comparison. My only real criticism of him would be the mandatory urine tests, because they feel punitive, but I suspect that it may be a protocol advised by the state and it's just that other doctors don't enforce it as rigorously as they should. If I needed to touch base with Dr. Morris

I've lived with chronic pain for 40+ years, being diagnosed with RA as a child. Through multiple surgeries and drug regimens, pain still interferes with my daily life. Seeing Dr. Morris gave me the hope that I could have reduced pain, better sleep and more overall relief. I used different medications to find the right balance. I've moved away recently, but will always credit Dr. Morris for introducing me to a life with less pain (and therefore, more joy).

I think Dr. Morris is a wonderful pain management physician in Eugene, who has been my doctor for almost ten years. Before I started seeing Dr. Morris, I was in daily pain and could hardly get out of bed. But with help from Dr. Morris this is not the case anymore. Dr. Morris is very knowledgeable in pain management and is constantly keeping up with the most current treatments and therapies. He makes sure that you have the right tools to deal with your pain, and that you have the best care possible. For me, trigger point injections have been very helpful. Also, careful use of medication, exercise and self-care are the key to keeping my pain at a tolerable level. I find Dr. Morris, his nurse practitioner, Carolyn Buel and the entire staff very caring. They all go the extra mile to make sure that I am doing well. I would highly recommend Dr. Morris to anyone who has chronic pain and wants a better quality of life.

Dr.Morris is the coldest, and most unaproachable Dr.I have ever met.He doesn't like to communicate w me or answer ques.,I am only a paycheck to him not a person. His staff is not much better.I only stay out of desperation,I'm looking for a more compassionate human being someone with positive energy.

Dr.Morris and his staff are wonderful. Dr. Morris, himself is the best Dr. I have ever known. He is very kind, and I love him to death. Carolyn Buel, his NP, is the best. I have been a patient for 6 years. I highly recommend him.

I have pain. It will be there the rest of my life. His care improves my standard of life enough to make me not want to just die. He did that for me, but expected a lot out of me. I was a patient 3 years before going on methadone or something similar;he does not throw drugs at you. He requires me to have goals and do my best to work towards them and not expect to cured, but to get better. He does have a lot of patients, but I get the feeling that is because it is his 'calling.' I do not see him very much. Most of my care is given by one of his Nurse Practitioners and we get to talking during our apts. She tells me that he does a lot of continuing education to keep up with the latest. I can't imagine a better pain management doctor, but be ready for a lot of rules and be ready to at least TRY what he says. If that doesn't work, try the next thing and so on.

He really seemed to have an understanding of chronic pain. unlike other Doctors, who won't treat something that isn't going to go away, he had some very constructive ideas
