This dr is okay but he rushes too much. He doesn't really make eye contact and does not really give a thorough check up of your pain complaints.

Number one doctor for dealing with severe muscle pain. I have terrible Knots and my quality of life is gone. He was the only one that had ever helped me, and he left to go work with children. He was the only one to actually press my muscles and feel these horrible things. No other doctor will do that. Why? I do not know. I suffer horribly daily from severe neck and upper back pain, and only Dr Dubin diagnosed me with muscle damage and took the time to touch these things and explain it and insert needles correctly. The new doctor doesn't touch the muscles and injects botox without using the machine or feeling the knots first.

Excellent physician. Kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. Expects compliant, trustworthy patients and won't tolerate those who are not. Was the first doctor to really take the time to do the work needed to diagnose my condition when others just shrugged their shoulders and didn't care that I had no quality of life anymore. Literally gave me my life back. First appointments take time to get, but once established as a patient, it's no trouble getting follow-ups. Spent over an hour with me at my first appointment and never makes his patients feel rushed. Never rude or condesending. Treats all patients with respect and dignity. If you call with a concern, you always get a call back from HIM, except when the question or concern is not medically related. i.e. scheduling, Rx refills, etc. This is a doctor who lives up to his oath.

Smart doc, nice guy. He's very easy to work with. He writes good notes. He works well with lawyers. If he thinks someone needs to be on Social Security Disability, he will do the paperwork. He's very much patient-centered. He's a first rate diagnostician. Getting an appointment with him is not easy. He's booked solid, and it's been that way for years.

Dr Dubin is an *excellent* diagnostician. I have a rare neurological problem that had stumped good doctors, and he was able to figure out what was going on. He is willing to go to Workers' Compensation hearings on behalf of his patients when he thinks their disability is work-related and write the specialized narrative report for Social Security Disability when he thinks the patient qualifies for it. He works well with lawyers and is a powerful expert witness. He's the man to see for electrodiagnostic testing--it's not that bad, really... Dr Dubin tends to be forward-thinking, that is, he is willing to try new ideas. However, he will not recommend so-called "alternative medicine" or "integrative medicine" practices when it make no logical or scientific sense. He calls 'em as he sees 'em and has a low BS tolerance level--particularly when one of his patients is being hassled. He's from NYC. He's so good that getting an appointment with him is not easy (and can take months).
